GUEST BLOGGER | ‘Engaged and Inspired’ | Wedding Theme Inspiration: Board Game Roundup!

What would we do without Alison of The Knotty Bride?  Who knows!  She is one of the best bloggers out there for sure.  Well, hopefully while she is out of town, my fabulous ideas and inspiration will suffice for the time being.  I’m Allison from Engaged and Inspired bringing you some fantastically cute themed weddings which I am oh so jealous of!

Taking on a theme is rather challenging because the couple has to pick something they love, but not make it cheesy!  These weddings get uber brownie points for creativity.  Taking a theme and making it chic and modern is such an incredible venture and when it is done right, it’s major wedding eye candy.

Scrabble is such a darling concept for a wedding.  Really anything can be done when you get to put together little wooden tiles and make them say anything you want.

People make the most fascinating and creative little additions such as those amazing scrabble pillows, which make doing a theme wedding that much more modern and creative.

Scrabble boards as a photo wall??  Yes please!  Add a tingle of DIY and a touch of creativity and this amazing wedding will most definitely be the outcome.

Now, here when I talk about themes, take another board game such as Monopoly.  How do you make that creative and cute??  Holy moly, they really pulled it off in this wedding! Everything from those pink and green houses, to calligraphy “chance” cards and even those dice napkins are to die for.  LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Are you going to be taking on a theme wedding?  What’s your inspiration??  I love seeing chic themes from not-so-chic inspirations!  I would love to hear what you are taking on for your wedding and some non-traditional themes you are pulling from!

Until next time (and hopefully there will be a next time!) I leave you with some final inspiration for your day.

I love the idea of incorporating board games, especially if they tie well into your personalities, or you just have a love for the game! So fun!

These folks are clearly after my heart since Scrabble is a way of life for me. I even it play it online with strangers who are either (a) very religious and praise Jesus a lot, (b) very rude and accuse me of cheating, (c) sweet old ladies who say LOL a lot, or (d) not into chatting at all. Wait, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, weddings! Scrabble weddings! Genius.

Lovely guest post and I have a sneaking suspicion that by swapping one Al(l)ison for another, you've help mitigate the sadness we all feel. But I have to say that I'm excited about a few days of guest blogging.

Wow, this was a really quality post. In theory I’ d like to write like this too – taking time and actual effort to make a great article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and in no way appear to get something done.
