Today’s wedding comes to us from Amy Kolcz Photography, and it’s kinda like the most perfect thing ever…
First, it takes place in and around a barn. Second, the couple made all this loveliness happen on a small budget and with a little help from their friends. Third, it’s got these darling little touches of purple, which means my six-year-old niece who’s coming to visit today is going to FREAK. OUT. She loves purple. Loves it. Purple purple purple. That, and beautiful princesses. Ooh, and wouldn’t you know? This wedding’s got both…
See Stephanie’s bouquet? Girl’s rocking a serious wedding trend; ribbons are becoming quite popular among brides today, and it’s not surprising. Do they not add the most darling and delicate touch to that incredibly simple, floral arrangement she’s got in hand? Not to mention they’re DIRT CHEAP. I definitely haven’t spent more than a couple bucks on ribbons ever in my life. Which means this is a Knotty Recommendation. (: Way to be smart AND lovely, Stephanie!
How CUTE ARE THEY?!!
I adore their ceremony space decor. Paper lanterns are my jam.
Here’s the low-down from Amy:
This was a very low budget wedding, and the bride and groom were just focused on each other. They had friends helping with everything. They used the Red Barn Studios which, in itself, is an AMAZING location. They figured they didn’t really need anything else. Just a few barrels here and there… it was just the perfect setting. They had friends make the cake and friends help with the vases. They had sand put into the vases and poured water into it with some flowers floating. Shaina Cochran and Karissa Cochran did a beautiful job getting all the little details together. By going to Ross and Marshalls they found some pretty unique vases. The groom’s dad brought a pitch fork so we were really able to capture that true farm form. (: The arbor’s lace was from the bride’s mother’s dress. It was such a beautiful part of the ceremony adding a little something old! Also, I really wanted to use the groom’s truck in the photos so I asked him beforehand if he could get it all cleaned up. It just added that little something to the pictures.
So, what do you think?
