RUFFLED HIGH HEELS | wedding shoes I love | Plus, apparently, I destroy dreams.

Two things happened last night; I ate four bowls of Crispix at 2am (this is a first, but one I enjoyed so much that I may repeat it) and I went out to dinner with my little brother and older sister.  The latter happens more often than the former, but still, it hardly EVER happens.  This is because my sister – as you may have caught on if you’re a regular around here – hails from Albuquerque.  So it was special, to say the least.  We mostly talked about family life, some wicked dreams both sleeping and lucid, and we spoke surprisingly little about her adorable wee babes, which I think was quite refreshing for the lot of us (even though we are collectively obsessed with their aforementioned adorableness).  My little brother (he’s 25 and 6’1″ but he’s my lil bro FOREVER – feel me, older sisters?) has been making a point of remembering his dreams, and I think that’s incredible.  I. Cannot. Do that.  In fact it seems that the moment I try to recall a dream, it rapidly vanishes; like, I can feel the story evaporating.  It sucks royally.  But my bro seems to have mastered some sort of dream recovery system, because he went into detail at dinner last night.  Here’s a relevant snippet:

ME: “Hey – did I play a role in any of them?”

MY BRO: “Yeah, you annoyed the hell outta me in one of them!”

ME: (crickets)

MY BRO:  “blah blah blah I was banging two girls in separate rooms and somehow they were none the wiser, and next thing I hear is your voice, “HEY… I KNOW YOU’VE GOT TWO GIRLS IN THERE.  I KNOW WHAT YOU’RE UP TO.”

So, I enter my brother’s dreams as the game-destroyer.  Whatevs, shouldn’t have been banging two girls in the first.  So what if it was a dream.

Is it weird that I kind of felt bad though?  Yes.  Yes.  Don’t answer that.  It is TOTES weird.

Merrily moving on…

See that ruffled stunner up top?  Oh that’s only the Badgley Mischka Randee, also known as the loveliest ruffled number this side of weddingstown!  I mused a bit about it in this shoe post, where you guys went apes*** over its beauty.  Well here it is again, in some of the most gorgeous photographs Stephanie Williams has ever taken, occasionally being modeled on actual feet this time.  Upgrade!

I know I’ve featured these ruffled babies before, but just consider it a testament to how deeply I love them.  Plus, isn’t this bride fabulous?

Darn Badgley Mischka for making shoes that are 4″ tall. I'd be as tall as my groom in those. Why aren't shorter heels cute? Grr.

I love it that your blog is part journal and part wedding inspiration. And you are the queen of crafting great titles that hook me. By the bye, my little brother is 30 and 6'0, but still my “little” brother.

I love those shoes no matter what color they come in. I’d give my left arm for a red pair!

I love them and am in the same boat at Kristin! I'm already 5'9″, I feel like a giant with big heals! But I'm pretty sure Randee is worth it! :)

I agree with Sofia!! Really…how do you do it????? I have to admit that I almost always remember my dreams – sometimes it’s a good thing…and other times it can really mess with you! So on the times it messes with you…I’d say you’re lucky that you don’t remember :) Anyhoo…those shoes are darling!!! And the pictures are gorgeous…love it all!
