DIY WEDDING LOVE | a heart theme and a CMYK scheme | This wedding rules my face.

Lauren and JP’s wedding is amazeballs.

And I do not just throw around that word.

It makes my face hurt the way my belly starts to hurt when I laugh too heartily for too long.  You know that out of breath, physically overwhelming “yesssss… no, stop… but I love it… but stop, it hurts… it hurts… but oh god YES!” feeling?  (We’re still talking about laughing here.)  Well it’s what Lauren’s wedding photos do to my face.  But I’m hardly surprised by the reaction I had when I first saw all the amazing amazingness, because Matt Miller of Our Labor of Love was their photographer, and this guy makes wedding photography dreams come true.  In fact, his photography style literally resembles dreams I have had in my life.  So wow, he really is making dreams come true.  That’s pretty cool.  Ok, back on track.

Some of you may know Lauren.  She’s got this fantastic blog called I Love You Much, and it’s packed with tons of delicious eye candy directly related to her Big Day.  Topics like deciding on a color scheme (cyan, magenta, yellow and black emerged victorious – that was a good day) and choosing which color sunglasses would add the most wow factor to the photos.  Lauren’s been planning her wedding for quite some time, documenting every intricate, meaningful decision along the way on that there blog.  So I can’t tell you how excited I am, for her AND for me, that her wedding has finally all come together in one incredibly colorful and mindblowingly inspirational shindig!

By the way, I like Lauren.  I did right from the start, not that it matters, but I just felt like telling you.  I think one of the best things about her is her humor; it’s addictive, and because of this, her blog is one I make a point of visiting.  She’s got great ideas and she is expert enough to execute many of them on her own, which is so admirable.  So let me just tell you, when I got the go-ahead yesterday to share her INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLE pics with you guys, it made my entire month.  Yes it did.

I’m gonna stop talking now.  Here are the goods.. enjoy!

What a photo a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses makes, eh?  She picked up these red ones from Urban Outfitters, but deciding on a color wasn’t easy.

Like I said, hearts were a theme… if you haven’t noticed.

Who knew a bucket of colorful cranes strewn about on the floor could result in such kick-ass photos?  Well Lauren did, obvs.

ADORE her bouquet.  The shape, the colors, the flowers.  Total WIN.

More cranes!

For me, this is the money shot.  It doesn’t get much better than a chandelier hovering over a cake.

Le sigh.

Congratulations, Lauren and JP!!!  You guys rule the school and all its inhabitants.  Way to make a wedding truly your own.

* * *

In other news, Lauren’s got talent, so you should probably hire her.  She’s got to be one of the most talented people in the world, actually.  Her resume makes you think she’s applying to college, it’s so goddamn well-rounded.  She is a jack of many of trades, and, again, you should hire her.  And like I said, she’s funny, too.  Which renders her an awesome person, obvs.

So, what do you guys think?  Dying to know your thoughts!

xoxo!  – Alison

    Don't weddings such as these make you want to get married 10 times (to the same person of course) so you can incorporate all the amazing, fabulous things out there! Maybe I am just greedy but there is WAY too much awesome wedding stuff for just a one time shot.
