THE RUFFLED DRESS | wow factor fashion | Someone actually made it, and these brides wore it.

I love ruffles.  DUH!  I know.  But seriously, I do.  I love staring at them in other people’s clothing, and in stores I love admiring them, considering buying them, and then ultimately passing because where the heck am I gonna wear a ruffled statement cardigan?  Nowhere I’m goin’, that’s where.  Plus, if you know me, you know I’m a saver, which means I like to buy quality pieces that will work for a long time, and for many occasions.  So ruffles are few and far between in my closet.  I wear them as accents, but they never make up the whole kit and caboodle.

Still, I lust after them, and wherever I go, I just love seeing girls who’ve dawned the look.  But even more, I lust after the bride who has the cojones to wear one big giant ball of ruffles ON HER WEDDING DAY.  And guess what?  I found two such brides…

The dress is called Billie, by Melissa Sweet, and while I couldn’t imagine ultimately choosing to wear it myself, I am so glad these ladies did.  Because they look fantasmagoric – don’t they?  I mean, seriously, how good do they both look?!!! – and I am so excited for you to see them, in all their ivory-ruffled glory.  BEHOLD:

Danielle’s look:

By the way, Danielle had her wedding at an Inn & Spa.  Something about that sounds like an amazing idea.

Man.  Brides are just getting hotter and hotter these days, aren’t they?  I mean, WOWZA.  My eyeballs went Disney when I saw these bombshells.  I know, I know… they could pretty much wear whatever they want.

Forget the statement necklaces and bracelets and so on… what do you think of making a statement with your entire wedding dress?

xoxo!  – Alison

I love that dress. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m much more of a traditional bride [love the long wedding gown with a train] but that is just stunning. It’s so fun, flirty and delicate!!

I have been looking for this dress EVERYWHERE, ever since one of the “real life” brides in Martha wore it and I want it so so so so so bad.
