FRIDAY’S FAB FINDS™ | Sept 10 | STDs, a succulent kitten (YUP), ruffled linens, DIY love letters, white wedding, cake alts, new “first look” idea…

Hey!  Happy Friday, peoples!  How’s everybody doing today?

Ok so I realized something on Thursday. I think I’m on the losing end of a battle with my allergies.  Thing is I didn’t even realize it was a battle in the first place, so it’s not very fair because I didn’t ever have a chance to build up any artillery (drugs) or get enough rest (I blog, remember) or make sure I had one of those protective mite-blockers on my mattress (NECESSARY).  So, instead of summertime-and-the-living-is-easy, it’s more like middle-of-the-night-and-I’m-all-sneezy.  For reals.  I wake myself up sneezing.  I don’t know if you heard me I WAKE MYSELF UP SNEEZING.  WTF, me?  I’ve never had a problem with allergies in my entire life, and now all of a sudden BAM, it’s a freaking shock and awe campaign.  Mission accomplished, pollen.

Did I mention I sneezed so hard in the car last week that I almost went off the road?  Because that really happened.  And let me tell you that was quite the shock.

Aright, enough complaining, my life ain’t that bad.  It’s just these allergies are a biotch, y’know?  Holla back if you feel me.

Ok… Finds time!!!  [The crowd goes wild]

I am in love with these DIY wedding hankie love letters (up top and below) created by Amy Moss of Eat Drink Chic.  They are just ridiculous in their adorableness, and they make me want to be a better person.  I realize that sounds weird but I’m ok with it.

Next up, a brilliant idea for the first look as photographed by White Rabbit Studios and featured on Style Me Pretty, which my girl over at Glamour and Grace caught.  How perfectly original is this?!  I highly recommend.

Get a load of these Monique Lu inspired linens, which I spied over on the Wedding Chicks. If you like ruffles and frills as much as I do, these are probably right up your alley!  This sweetheart table scene was brought together by Joy de Vivre, and it was inspired by La Tavola’s  ‘Monique’ linens which, of course, are inspired by Monique Lhuillier.  Lots of yumminess to digest, I know.

A freaking SUCCULENT CAT created by Holly Flora, which I spied over on Green Wedding Shoes:

Cats were a bit of a theme.  As you can see. (:

I am infatuated with cute factor going on in these DIY wedding save the dates I spied on Grey Likes WeddingsDesigner Yeri Yun created them for her own wedding.  How.  Cute.  Are these.  P.S. -  she made bunting banners for each one.  That’s passion.

How about a Modern Wedding shot by Maggie Harkov, which I spied on Style Me Pretty?  First off, I adore Hatch Creative Studio.  But more importantly, this wedding is white on white on white plus accents of green.  It’s chic.  It’s clean.  It’s simple.  It’s modern.  It’s perfection.  I remember catching a glimpse of it on my girl Abby’s blog Life in the Super Burbs but, somehow, I totally forgot about it.  Thank GOODNESS I hung out on SMP a bit on Wednesday, because HELLOOOOOOOOO GORGEOUS!

Umm… can you tell I really liked it?

Love these wedding cake alternatives – aka pies – I found on Cap Classique!

This has nothing at all to do with weddings but it’s the most adorable thing in the whole wide world.  My girl Sofia of Brancoprata tweeted it several days ago, Storage and Glee featured it, and it’s origin is Country Home.  Whew, that was a mouthful.

And now, kids reenact Keeping Up with the Kardashians:

Baby Scott Disick: “It’s true… I’m the wooorst.”

;)

That about wraps up the Finds for today!  What’d you think, lovelies?  Any favorites?  And does anybody have cool plans for the weekend?   By the way, I sneezed like 5 times during this post.  When will it eeeeennnnd????

xoxo!  – Alison

Thanks, Marie :) And you’re right on about the dozen weddings. There are so many ways to go when it comes to decor, ceremony, DRESS, everything; I applaud every bride among us who has been able to make even one decision! :D
