FRIDAY’S FAB FINDS™ | Sept 17 | ACK! DIY red heart wedding cake topper! And other awesome wedding items and ideas. Plus, what I consider the most hilarious video.

Hey, peoples!  How are you doing this gorgeous (at least where I am) Friday morning?  Are you at work?  Are you at home?  Are you nursing?  Are you walking the dogs?  Well stop…

You know how on HGTV’s House Hunters, how the couple always gets down to three houses (yes, they totes see more than three if you hadn’t realized that; the program just shows us the three top options – I’ve clarified this for you because I once believed – get this – that each of those couples actually saw only three houses, and then had to buy and live in one of them, even if they haaaaated it.  I thought this, because on occasion I’m a complete idiot)… and it always goes down like this: one house is in the right neighborhood but it’s at the tippy-top of their budget, another house is in their price range, but it’s not move-in ready and needs copious renovations, and still another house is budget-perfect, but has only one bath and the master’s on the small side?

Well, the Finds I have for your today are sort of like the perfect house.  They’re budget-conscious, they’re super fun and crazy pretty, and they’re – well, I don’t really know how to stretch out this metaphor any farther than that.  It’s not a great metaphor, I admit.  But I’m obsessed with House Hunters and I’m surprised it took me this long to actually try to work it into a post.

Lemme blow your mind with a wedding cake topper today.  Ok?  Thanks. It’s right up there at the tippy-top of this here post.  Tell me, how incredibly wonderful is that cake topper, eh?  It’s a DIY straight off of Max and Margaux’s wedding cake (below), as featured on Once Wed, and it’s simply perfect.  I want to hold it.

How do you feel about cloudy days?  If you answered “hate ‘em,” then prepare to change your mind completely.  This DIY captured my heart this week, and while it’s meant for a child’s room, I can totally see it being used as part of the ceiling decor at your wedding.  Everyone’s been pretty obsessed with the whole flowers–in-hanging-vases trend – because, well, let’s admit, it’s PHENOMENAL – so why not change it up, be a little different?  Hang some adorable clouds from the rafters and your guests will be in awe.  Blue ceiling is a plus in this situation.  Oh how perfect would that be?!!

I am very, very in like with these headbands.  They rule the school.  Especially the first one. (I like adorable things… who doesn’t?)

Obsessed.  With this.  Bouquet.  Remember when I tweeted about Dusty Miller yesterday?   Well I spotted this cutie on Bride and Beyond (originally on Elizabeth Anne Designs).  Isn’t it just perfect?

Le sigh.

How ’bout hanging a killer sign above your heads while you get married?  It’s almost a guaranteed way to ratchet up the pretty in your wedding day photos.

And now, a super catchy song that will probably be in your head the rest of the day, but that’s not so bad, is it?

Also, a skit about a bidet:

Any favorites?  Also, any cool plans for the weekend?  By the way, I think I may be going grape stomping next weekend and I’m THRILLED.  Anybody ever been?

xoxo!  – Alison

Seriously, one of my favorite posts! Love everything!! Just when I thought I’d reached my limit of pretty for the day, the next picture came along and I was blown away with the beauty. If I could pick a favorite (if it’s possible) it might be the Carter & Cook pictures. The pink is so romantic!
