Happy Tuesday, loves! How’s it going today?
Enough about you… You know what I think I might love more than most things I love? Getting fresh, new, crisp, colorful and beautiful images of dresses in my Inbox. My eyes light up, my jaw drops down, and my body does this thing where it gets all tingly and “pizzazzed,” if I may. In fact, I love it so much that, if I could, I’d hold the pictures of the dresses in my arms and sleep with them. Ew. No, not like that. I’d hold them like I did my Magic Nursery dolls back when I was a wee bébé. And, if I was actually a wee bébé, I’d probably force my little brother to talk about the dresses with me, like I used to make him talk about my Magic Nursery dolls. Oh boy, I bet he loved that.
Anywho, behold, about 1/6th of the gift I received in my Inbox recently, from the smart people over at Watters and Watters…
(They sent me a gazillion dresses from the Spring ’11 line, and I heart ALL OF THEM, by the way. But these are a few of my favorites…)
You might remember seeing this baby, a true favorite of mine…
And these RULE:
By the way, can I please note here the fabulous hair inspo going on in every single one of these pictures? I mean, talk about hippie-chic loveliness!
You already know of my sincere affection for Watters and Watters. There’s no denying it. They make dresses that take my breath away, and then punch me in the gut, and then drag my limp body back to the attic like in Paranormal Activity 1. What I’m trying to say is that their dresses are an absolute TKO. But, seeing their Spring ’11 Collection like this, in such an ethereal, dreamlike, heavenly assemblage of images… well, they almost make me tear up. (Full disclosure: it’s approaching that time of the month, so emotions are taking hold and the idea of crying over dresses is not abnormal. You may have noticed yesterday when I mentioned on Twitter than I was tearing up over baked ziti. Not a lie. I actually cried audibly over a microwavable bowl of baked ziti. Hormones are the worst.)
By the way, if you loved the short frock up top, here’s a closer look; with bolero…
Without bolero! Both, GORGEOUS!!!!

And, speaking of bébés – the French word for babies – here’s a French song (ah, you like how I did that? Me neither) I’ve been hearting ever since I saw a skit on SNL using it for a comedic dance sequence. I’ve been waiting for a higher quality version of it than what has been available… particularly one NOT filmed from the couch of the person who watched it. And good news – here’s the version for which I’ve been hoping! Enjoy:
Artist: Camille, Song: “Ta Douleur”
So, howsabout these dresses? P.S. – Do you love boleros and sheer overlays at the neckline like in that double duty dress as much as I do?
And are you excited to see the freshest, newest collections for flower girl, bridesmaid and yo mama? Because yup, I’ve got those sitting in my Inbox, too. :)
xoxo! – Alison
