I was thinking about speaking on the topic of E!’s Bridal Plasty today but, somehow, discussing soul crushing, emotionally vacant, body manipulation competitions is not the direction in which I want to take today’s post. Maybe tomorrow. Plus, I haven’t sat through the wretchedness as of yet. It’s sitting in my DVR, waiting to torture me with its wrongness.
So, instead, I’m going to talk about something AWESOME, also known as today’s wedding. :) Note my special titling for International Real Weddings. Yes, there’s a heavy influence coming from HGTV’s House Hunters therein. No shame in my game.
Now… remember this sneak peek?
Well, it came from today’s Real Wedding. And believe you me, I’ve got a whooooole lotta love for this wedding – and not only because it’s a golden pastel wonderland of pretty pretty prettiness with jimmies on top. Even though that would be sufficient qualification, if you know me. Aaaaand ya do. But yeah, reason number one why I love this wedding is ’cause my favorite little bubbelah Sofia and her partner in crime, André, of Brancoprata captured this wedding and sent it my way because they know me all too well.
I should note, we’re extremely proud to call Brancoprata a member of Vendor Love, and we simply cannot wait for you to see their listing when we officially bring the finished guide to your faces. We should also note that you’ll be incredibly impressed to find when you reach the bottom of this post, who it is that handled quite a ridiculous amount of the gorgeous details going on in this wedding. Oohhh, the anticipation builds… now… enjoy!
Love this shot, below. What a positively wonderful moment.
Here’s what our gorgeous bride had to say about her Big Day:
Many details are original handmade pieces: my bridal garter and the ring pillow were made by my mother. She used old embroidery and lace made by a friend. The lace used in the bouquet was also made by hand by the same friend. The pin used on the bouquet is more than one hundred years old, was bought in an antiques shop in Paris and offered by my mother who knows that I love antique jewelry. We wanted to personalize our marriage, so with the help of my sister and with the online inspiration we designed all the stationery, invitations, menus, programs, labels. We created a logo with our initials T & R.
We made two invitations: one on paper – an old postcard with a photo of ours. We personalized each postcard: we used a stamp and wrote by hand the names of the recipients; the other one, a video (made by my sister) that we put on the blog, was created for the wedding. We transformed many things to use for our decor: the screen with the moldings, chair rail, the gold frame we used for the menu, the crown we used for the wedding cake topper, the letters … all these elements were painted / processed to integrate the decoration.
Sofia and André of Brancoprata are members of Vendor Love, The Knotty Bride’s Preferred Vendor Guide.
Photography: Brancoprata (there was another photographer present, however all photos featured above are Brancoprata’s… and aren’t they just phenom?!) / Videography: Brancoprata / Flowers: Brancoprata / Wedding Dress: Modelnovias / Outfit and shoes (Groom): Hugo Boss / Bride’s Shoes: Christian Louboutin / Church: Sé Nova de Coimbra / Venue: Quinta da Memória / Caterer: Dão Catering / Logo used on stationery: The Wedding Chicks / Hair & make-up: Ricardo Pedro / Bride’s earrings: they were made exclusively for Tânia by jewelry designer (and bride’s friend) Zita Neves. They were handmade in silver gold with vintage inspiration. The designer also made some pins for the bridesmaids / Save the Date: Stop motion film by Anaïs F. Afonso
I heart this wedding so much. … What think you? :)
xoxo! – Alison
