VENDOR LOVE COUNTDOWN + WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY GIVEAWAY! | Ladies and gentlemen, the competition is about to begin…

It’s official, everyone.  It’s happening.  Vendor Love™, The Knotty Bride’s Preferred Vendor Guide launches NEXT WEEK… and we’re having excitement induced conniptions.  And to celebrate, we’re launching our first amazeballs photography giveaway TOMORROW!

Bet you can’t wait to find out who’s behind those breathtaking images, eh?  Eh?

Well, they’re just a teensy weensy taste of the work of one of our beloved Preferred Vendors, and they happen to be from the very vendor who’s throwing this HUGETASTIC GIVEAWAY WITH US.  We’re thrilled about this one, people, so get ready.  And put your game faces on.  This package is a doozy.

But here’s the thing.

We want to make it more interesting… more interactive.  So, we’d like YOU, our readers, to let us know in the comments how you think we should hold this pretty massive contest.  We’ve already got an idea, but you know how much we love interaction and reader feedback on this here blog.  We always take it to heart, and it impacts a lot of what goes on here.  So, let us know, what should you have to do for a chance to win?  Video submissions?  Love stories?  No matter how far out or unique your idea, WE WANT TO HEAR IT… regardless of whether or not you’ll be entering the contest.  Just post it in the comments.  Or you could just tell us how excited you are about the whole thing.  We just plain love hearing from you. :*)

By the by, don’t worry if your idea has already been mentioned, in fact, the more people who have the same idea, the more likely it is we’ll seriously consider it.  You can also *ditto* another reader’s idea if you dig it.  So pretty much anything goes, is what we’re saying. :*)

Aaaaand… GO!

xoxo!  – Alison

A note to wedding vendors: we are always accepting applications for Vendor Love membership, however please note that rates will increase next week, when the guide officially launches.

AHHHHH! Can’t wait to see the details of this contest! Sounds amazing!

Since this is a photography contest, how about having couples submit one picture of themselves that best represents what kind of a couple they are. Everyone has one picture that they love they have taken together with their SO that shows what they are all about.

I hope that made sense. :/ But none the less, can’t wait!

Those photos are BEAUTIFUL. I can’t wait to find out who the photographer is. And here’s what I’m thinking for the contest:
Everyone submit a story about why they need/deserve the package, and readers vote on which story wins. Kinda basic I guess, but it sounds like a fair way!

I agree with BR…since it’s a photo contest, those entering should submit a photo that speaks what kind of couple they are just by looking at the photo.

    OR

Make a photo slide show (5-10 photos for ex) that would do the same thing.

This contest sounds so EXCITING! And you guys have done an amazing job at keeping us anxious just anticipating it all!

What about a photo slide show that explains why the couple needs the photographer AND shows off their personality? :)

I like the photo ideas that people have above. They do say “a picture is worth a thousand words”. But I really also love the idea of sending in your love story – how you met and how you got engaged. I think you would get some really great stories that would really tell you about the couple.

I’m not a couple & I’m not entering this contest but I would love to see readers submit photos! I agree with BR & Ashley above. I would enjoy seeing everyone’s creativity come through. I think all the couples will have a lot of fun taking their pictures so even if they don’t win, they’ll have spent some quality time together. :)
Maybe contestants could submit photos that are a little bit “knotty!” Now that would be hilarious!

This is so awesome – I agree with BR, I think people should submit photos of themselves!

And I LOVE what’s on that girl’s head. It’s so perfect.

I think we should send in stories of why we deserve it. And maybe readers could vote?

(Just an note: it’s weird to me how there’s always this ‘calm before the storm’ with giveaways. Like, there’s 8 comments on this post right now – 9 with mine – and then tomorrow people are going to go BUCKWILD. Shhhh, if you listen closely, you can hear them… sitting… waiting… steeling themselves.)

I seriously can’t wait to see how this all goes down tomorrow morning!!!!!!!! And now I’m getting way too excited way too early. Yippeeee!

I like the idea of the one picture to best represent the couple. I think the “tell why you deserve this photography” theme is so overdone and you never feel like you have a chance unless you single-handedly cured AIDS or lost your leg in a freak accident and are now teaching special ed kids how to play basketball with only one leg.

I also saw an idea somewhere about a photo scavenger hunt related to wedding stuff. I thought that was pretty fun. There were things like “find a red church door”, “something old/new/borrowed/blue”, “the word ‘love’”, “something you want to see your fiancé in on your wedding night”, etc. I think that would be a fun and interactive way to get some interesting entries.

I like BR’s idea because I think people can get really creative with their pictures (depending on the couple). Maybe there’s a really wild couple out there.

I agree with Crystal about the “tell why you deserve this photography.” Unless you have an outstanding reason or story, you’d feel like you can’t win.

I love the photo idea of the others. It sounds great to me :) Plus it is always adorable to see pictures of couples together (especially when you can see the love between the two of them).

I like the idea of telling your story as a couple via a photograph, or a series of photographs.
I’m not as into the video idea honestly. I do like the idea of a photo scavenger hunt. And then whoever comes with the most creative/interesting collage wins?
