REAL WEDDING | Sarah + Jason | New Hampshire Mountain Farm Wedding, Part III | Homemade pies on tree slices are my new favorite thing.

Ok, whoa.

I knew yesterday’s giveaway finalists post would get a big response, but OH MY CRAP.  We’re glad you guys are so excited, though, so go that!  Can’t wait to see who wins!

First order of business.

The boy got a haircut a couple days ago.  Attraction to his facial region is presently supercharged.  I love that about haircuts.  Also, come home early tonight, sweet thang.  wink wink nudge nudge

Second.

It still looks like Narnia out here.  I don’t know how there’s still so much snow on the ground – hasn’t it been sunny for like, days here in the NE?  And the snowman we for some reason built a few feet from where I sit now lurks outside my window like he’s up to something.  By the way, I’m so glad we added horns to his head.  That doesn’t make him look more menacing at all.  (He’s staring at me right now, I can’t see him – I’m facing the other direction – but I can *feel* him there.)  #whydidweaddthosehorns?

I’m gonna turn around now just to che-OOHHHHMYGODHE’SHEADLESSNOW.  More menacing.  Definitely more menacing.  I didn’t think it was possible but he officially looks more menacing, now that he’s headless.  Like the headless horseman.  (I have trouble entering the town of Sleepy Hollow in my folks’ county because of that tale.)

Ok, I’m just going to ignore what just happened, and proceed as usual.  Nothing to see here.  (But if I go missing in the next day or two, you’ll know what happened.  Please, be my voice.)

SO!  We move on to our third order of business, or should I say… Part 3 of our 3 part wedding extravaganza!

Sarah and Jason wrote their own vows, which I love, and highly recommend.  Just makes everything a wee bit more special for you as a couple.   Possibly even cooler is the fact that Sarah’s dad made a bench for Sarah and Jason to sit on while their relatives “performed” for them.  (Sarah’s sister sang, and Jason’s aunt read an original poem to the couple.  Talk about a family affair!  Don’t you just love things like this?)

Can you stand how cute those bridesmaids and their adorable dresses are?  By the way, the frock on the right is from Anthro; not sure if it’s still available, but holy moly it’s been a popular bridesmaid dress this past season.  I’ve seen it in practically every other wedding!

Anyone wanna live inside this wedding with me?  I’ll bring s’mores.  ‘Cause everybody likes s’mores. :)

That was very random, my apologies.  SOMEBODY kneed me in the knee – or, knocked-knees with me – in the middle of the night, so I didn’t get much sleep.  Honey, don’t even try to say it was me.  It was so you.  You did it, and that’s why you heard me say “oowwww” instead of “sorry” last night.  Apologies come when apologies are due.  I’ll be waiting right here.

xoxo!  – Alison

This post needs some more comments to compete with the last post for the photography giveaway. You’re going to get like 1500 comments on that last one and it will shame all the other posts into thinking they’re not good enough…which isn’t true, all your posts are amazing and deserve 1500 comments!

This wedding is absolutely beautiful…everything that I would want my own wedding to be!

Such a lovely, elegant wedding. It’s so simple and clean, I love that. Proves you don’t need a million little details to accomplish something really memorable. …Though details never hurt anybody, and I’ll probably have a million of them. :)
