{#1} WEDDING FONT FAVORITES | Edition 01 | I’m quite font of the following font(s)…

Had an extensive conversation on Twitter last night (yeah I’m cool) about font families.  The conversation attracted so many that I’ve decided to start a regular column on favorite fonts… might be “of the week” or “of the month,” but will most likely be “when the mood hits me.”

It can really only go downhill from here, because this first font family is just pure loveliness.  Just kidding, there are so many gorgeous fonts out there; too many to count.  In fact, I’d like to get your input for this series, so if you have a favorite font you’d like to suggest we cover, let me know.  I’d love to hear from you!

So!  We begin this new series with Breathe.  The hyper-talented Jen of Blush Printables (the young woman responsible for this freebie, and for another upcoming exclusive free printable you are going to DIE OVER) reminded me of this one last night.  Breathe is a longtime favorite of mine.  I can’t stop staring at it.  C’est magnifique for your wedding invitation suite, if you want something romantic, sophisticated and ornate.

♥ If you dig it, it’s available for purchase here

Since this is such a beloved topic for so many of us and so many of you out there, I’ll continue the search for amazeballs fonts to report back here, my little bubelahs.  (*pinching your cheeks right now*)

Side note: fonts would make the best gift ever, if you’ve got a crafty lady in your life.  This is such a truth, that a bunch of us are thinking about starting a font gift site.  I predict market dominance.

By the way, I didn’t want to go for the obvious choice here (Nelly Script) in my very first font favorites post… I’ll save it for next week. ;)

xoxo!  – Alison

P.S. – Crafty DIY wedding goodness coming up in a few shakes!!!

Love all of this...

oh such a beautiful choice. As long as you don’t say that Papyrus is a great font… I’m ok. That type face is HORRIBLE. That and comic sans :)

Laurel, you don’t like Papyrus? ;)

Alison, I love ‘Breathe’! It loosely reminds me of ‘Buttermilk’, only whispier and more romantic. (Can you tell I’m a font nerd too?) I think the font feature would be a fabulous idea!

I solemnly swear never to spotlight Papyrus. You guys have my word. We have a modicum of taste here at TKB. :)

I love it! What a great idea for a feature. I’ve been steadily increasing my little library lately. Thanks for the heads up about this one!

World Font Domination starting here! So glad you did a post about fonts after last night. I definitely will post some of my favorites too. They are all too pretty to ignore. I bought Nelly Flourish last night…trying to work it into the Save the Dates I’m designing. Its curlys and loops make me so happy :)

Ohh, Buttermilk is another one of my favorites. You can’t go wrong with illustrator Jessica Hische! I swoon over her work!

Nelly Script is up there, but I absolutely cannot get over the amazingness of Breathe. It’s by far my new favorite font & worth every penny.

ps: Don’t forget Adios Script Pro — another fab font!

Omg, I am so hgrnuy for Seabirds right now! I wasn’t that hgrnuy the night before the wedding and only ordered two avocado tacos. I wish I had taken advantage of the opportunity and ordered the Bella and Jackfruit taco as well!
