Today’s wedding, submitted by Travis and Candice of Serendipity Studios, gets my heart beating out of my chest. It’s almost the exact same feeling I used to get when I ran track back in high school and had to use an inhaler. Asthma shout out! Who’s with me?!! Aaaaannyyyway… It jump-starts your heart, and gets the blood flowing and the oxygen coursing. And when I look at this wedding, I almost feel like I’m in the last stretch of a 5K. Except I’m not all sweaty and panting for breath, with my coach screaming at me to “FIIINIIIISH THE RAAAACE, ALISON, I don’t CARE if you can’t breathe, FINISH IIIIIIIT!!!!!” (My coach was a bastard, but an unbelievable motivator. I believe Amy Chua would find him a kindred spirit.)
I have to say, when I first saw this wedding arrive in my inbox and opened it up, my jaw dropped, the way jaws drop in cartoons. And if my eyes could make a sound, they’d go “AWOOOOGA!” Because they essentially popped out of my head when I saw the bling going on in these images. This wedding is just pure beauty, every inch of it… and its creamy whites and strong, vibrant reds summon thoughts of Valentine’s Day, so I pretty much thought it was the perfect wedding for the beginning of February! And stay tuned for Part II… it’s even more incredible, if you can imagine that. Not to mention, it’ll include the name of the WINNER OF OUR LULU*S $100 SHOPPING SPREE GIVEAWAY! So yeah, stay tuned… :)
::: STAY TUNED FOR PART II :::
A few words from our lovely bride, Jennifer:
Our wedding was a true example of “us”; Modern, Elegant and Fun. Growing up in Half Moon Bay, CA, I was able to watch the beautiful Ritz Carlton property as it was built from the ground up. The hotel caused much controversy among the local’s of our small town wanting to keep the best kept secret truly a secret. Little did I know it would be the setting for the greatest day of my life.
After Andre and I got engaged it did take us a while to decide on where our venue of choice would be. The Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay was always in the back of my mind because we wanted one thing out of our venue, an outside wedding with the ocean as our backdrop. The only problem with Half Moon Bay was the unpredictable weather. I knew that if we chose the Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay we would have to prepare for bad weather. We hoped for the best and prepared for the worst and in the end everything turned out perfect.
After 13 months of rigorous planning our wedding week came before we knew it. The day before the wedding the girls went to the spa to relax and the boys threw a golf tournament to do some manly bonding. We ended the night with our amazing rehearsal dinner surrounded by the most important people in our lives.
The big day had finally arrived and we did everything we could to take in every moment and to enjoy all the hard work that was paying off before us. The ceremony venue had been highlighted with the most beautiful touches to set off the stunning view and the ballroom dressed to impress with sparkles from ceiling to floor. From our fantastic design team to our fabulous photography and cinematography team every detail had been addressed and every moment had been captured. It’s one thing to have a vision of your wedding in your head but another to have it come to life and that’s exactly what my wedding team did, they brought my vision to life. We were so fortunate to have the talented staff we did working on our wedding. I never had to worry about a thing the entire day which was the best present of all.
The entire wedding was a representation of Andre and I and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
