↑ I’m dying. I’m dead.
So, guess who missed potentially the most awesome game of Freeze Tag ever to be played, in history? Me, that’s who. All because I don’t work on Wall Street. Had I been a Wall Street investment banker working weekends to earn my bonus, I would have been around for this game… a game which, by all accounts, was played on the Street of Wall. Which all makes perfect sense. Honestly, I can’t think of a more undeserving crowd of people for such a game. But whatevs I’m over it.
I’m not over it.
But I’m getting there. And this shoot is helping matters like crazy.
Today’s engagement shoot, submitted by the beyond incredible Jenny Haas, is nothing short of totally adorable. Just look at their faces – yup, you guessed it; they’re adorbs, those faces. And look at her outfit… here, let’s start from the bottom:
KNEE HIGHS. I don’t know where you’re from, but where I’m from, knee highs = MAXIMUM ADORABLENESS. Next:
CUPCAKES IN SUGAR CONES. I mean, seriously, Jenny? You are making my Valentine’s Day with this.
Ok I’m just gonna hurry up and share this whole shoot already. It’s freaking GORGEOUS.
Here are some words from Jenny regarding what went into this gorgeous day…
The couple was Corbin and Dylena, and they’re planning a wedding in August 2011. I bought a cupcake recipe book at Target a long time ago and have always wanted to try cupcakes in sugar cones so for this shoot I went for it. I loved the idea of the cherries because of the rich scarlet tones, which were especially fitting because they went really well with Dylena’s dress and the valentine concept. We shot some of the images at a random house we found, with an old beat up truck I immediately fell in love with! The people were so kind to let us randomly use their property like that! I had dragged along some big heart glasses I found at Kroger. I have really been wanting to add an element of fun to each session and the glasses for this session were the key! Their expressions were so much fun to capture. Originally I had thought about sewing really big hearts out of fabric, but that didn’t pan out in time, so i went with chalk, since it was easy, inexpensive and SO CUTE! Dylena and Corbin were a delight to work with, and brought so much energy to the session…there is no doubt in my mind that they are head over heels for one another! I have to give them major props, because it was FREEZING outside, and Dylena had some little dress shoes on that kept getting snow in them :( [not fun!} and by the way….well, I just have a HUGE obsession with knee highs :)

Tell me, does this make you want to go out and do your very own Valentine’s Day shoot? Or, at the very least, instill in you a burning desire to make sugar cone cupcakes? Chime in! :)
