You guys probably recognize Randi and Dan, and that’s because we featured their dockside engagement session a short while back, and it was pretty phenom. They’re a gorgeous couple, and if you think they clean up nice for e-shoots, ohhh MAN are you in for a treat today.
I’ve been holding onto this gem the fantastic and fabulously talented Kristyn Hogan gave me, for a few reasons. 1) if it’s not obvious already, this affair is the unofficial mayor of Prettytown, population Kristyn, Randi, Dan and their guests. 2) I’m a sucker for simple, refined color schemes, navy dresses and matchy-matchy bouquets. 3) When I imagine a perfect wedding, I imagine smiles, pretty dresses (hey, cool it – I’m allowed a shallow element in my fantasy), and lots and lots of happy tears that we promised we’d hold back when the day began but that are now FLYING OUT OF OUR EYES because our emotions on this day… to quote a Miley Cyrus’ album title… Can’t Be Tamed. Ugh. That’s two Miley references in seven days. WTF, me?
Anywho, hey guess what? I’m sure you’re not already expecting me to say this or anything, but THAT’S THIS WEDDING. High kick, woot!
Here’s the story behind this radiant couple, from Kristyn:
Randi & Dan met through mutual friends in college. The couple took a trip with Dan’s family to Steamboat Spring, CO and on a romantic sleigh ride, Dan proposed. Randi & Dan are the definition of classic, elegant style and I loved the timeless feel of their wedding. They were married on a beautiful October evening at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville, TN with a stunning reception at the historic War Memorial. Randi is such a sweet, classic Southern girl and an interior designer, so every detail was executed perfectly. Along with her classic Priscilla of Boston gown, Randi wore pearls from her in-laws and a bracelet made of vintage jewelry from both of her grandmothers.
And here’s some bitchin’ advice from our bride, Randi:
It will all come together. Surround yourself with positive and loving people whom you trust. And just remember, it’s about you and your groom being married and spending the rest of your lives together.
Spot on, Randi. Now, we’re gonna go enjoy your wedding if you don’t mind. Thaaaanks! :)
Randi and her popsicle seeing one another for the first time that day. Yup, maximum adorbs. ↴
According to Kristyn, Randi said she wasn’t going to shed tears during the ceremony. ↴
Uh oh! It’s the contagious strain of cry. The least treatable! ↴
Umm… AWWWWW! ↴
Ok, seriously, stop it, Kristyn. Stop ruling so hard with your camera and your fancy pictures and your ridiculous talent. Stop it. It’s starting to get really unsettling how good you are at making me cry over a couple I’ve never even MET.
… you guys. Are you positively DYING over this wedding, like I am?
By the way, I’m kinda dying to know your favorite part.
xoxo! – Alison
