REAL WEDDING | Matt + Maggie | When you come from a place of yes… you end up with a gazillion bridesmaids. This is how to dress them. {Also, a note on impossible sex.}

So, did you guys hear about Hayden Pahhnnehtiehrrrhe’s special new boyfriend?  I just learned about their relationship yesterday, and as I hinted on le Twittaire, just seeing little Hayden P. standing next to her massive 6’6″ heavyweight champion boxer boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko makes my privates shudder.  I cannot. imagine. how this could possibly work in bed.  I can’t.  I just – I can’t.

I think the day all women found out about Hayden’s new relationship should be renamed “The Kegel Heard ‘Round the World Day.”  Because OMGoodness, ladies.  I mean, how does it work?  Hayden is 5’1″ and he’s 6’6″.  How does it work?  Howwwwwww.  Seriously, I’m asking.  I’m, like, really curious.

In other less perverted news, OMGTHISWEDDING.  There are a few reasons I adore Jenny Haas, and today the main one is because she gave me this wedding.  Matt and Maggie had some of my favorite bits and pieces, as weddings go.  They had pretty, hand-held desserts, her bridesmaids rocked the cutest frocks in the most colorful of colors, and there were smiles and dancing.  Those last two are my top two favorite wedding things.  So yeah, I dig this shindig.  I think you guys will, too!

Now obviously, that post title up there is a bit of a joke.  But when it comes to having a crapload of bridesmaids, THINGS CAN GET HECTIC.  Ladies, you know what I mean.  But Maggie took care of that like a seasoned professional.  You’d think she’d been married before!  No, but seriously, her bridesmaids, all 2600 of them, looked AMAZEBALLS, and, on a more superficial note, were a gorgeous addition to the overall aesthetic of the wedding.  I just wanna grab them all and place them on my mantle, Honey-I-Shrunk-the-Kids-style!

Here’s a run-down of Maggie and Matt’s fabulous day, from Jenny (and by the way, try saying her first sentence out loud 3 times fast):

Matt and Maggie met through Matt’s mom when Maggie was working at the Leaf and Vine. That’s right…his mom hooked them up. How cool is that?

I loved everything about this couple as soon as I met them. Maggie is very energetic, full of life and outgoing, while Matt is perfectly laid back and reserved. It doesn’t seem anyone could be more opposite, but they are so right. The thought of it makes me smile.

We sat at a restaurant in Indianapolis after their engagement session and got to know them for a few hours…It was fun to find all of the things we, as couples, had in common. A few days before the wedding I stopped by Maggie’s dad’s house [where the wedding/reception were held] and she showed me the invitations that her and Matt designed themselves. She even hand- stamped all of them with their monogram, which was a recurring theme throughout the wedding decor!

Everything about the wedding described Maggie’s personality. From the bright orange Steve Madden wedges to the soft peach colored peonies.  The fans for the guests and the girl’s bracelets were some of my favorite details yet. Her dad made the dance floor and she painted their initials on it! [the same design that was on the invitations]

I also loved the fact that her family had a part in making the cake balls and desserts for the reception!

Everything was beautiful. Perfectly beautiful.

Congratulations Matt & Maggie! We couldn’t be more thrilled than to share your story with everyone! Thank you for letting us into your lives, we wish you the very best in your future!

What’s a wedding without a dance collage?  BREAK IT DOWN NAH!

Like I mentioned, I just love so much about this wedding; the pastel coloring, the genuine smiles, the dancing and, of course, the gorgeous treats.

What’s your favorite part?  And where do you stand on dessert tables?  (If anyone says something like, “in the center of the table so I’m equidistant from each dessert,” … heads are gonna roll.)

xoxo!  - Alison

  1. That is one HUGE wedding party! And I mean that in more ways than one. You’re too funny about the Hayden sex thing!

….but getting back to the wedding, I love the fact that they cared enough for the comfort of their guests by handing out fans for this amazing outdoor wedding.

And I’m loving the peach flowers and accents!

For the LOVE of pink! And shades of peach too. Love this sherberty palette. Is sherberty a word? Um I don’t think so! And in regards to Hayden P. you must have watched Ellen yesterday? I saw it too. Crazy. I too wonder how it works. LOL. Thanks for sharing. I love how you incorporate all kinds of thoughts into your wedding posts. xoxo. chrissy.

A blush polka dot tie-I still can’t get over it! I looked at the damn tie like, 8 times because it was just so lovely! All those shades of peach are delicious.

As for unusual couplings, I can only imagine that they get creative? I don’t want to think about it. It’s burning my eyeballs, and I’d rather my melt eye all over the keyboard.

Lena – love that blush dot tie. Love a man who’s willing wear a blush dot tie even more. :) And yes, they *have* to get creative. I simply don’t see how else. Uggh, I don’t want to think about it.

Excuse me, but is that a chalkboard labeled bubblegum holding jar? Because if it is, I might collapse from an acute case of SWOON.

Holy Wedding Party! I would have had to hire people if mine had to be that large and they would have gotten granola bars as gifts bc that my friends could be a budget breaker! But they do look lovely! I did LOOOVE the donuts (doughnuts) on a stick! Also more importantly isn’t Hayden like 12 years old?! I bet they are saving themselves.

Great wedding! So many attendants! I am happy to see this wedding as our colors are pink and orange as well and it always helps to see how someone else did things. Love her wedge shoes too.

Just checked out pics of Hayden’s BF and wow, he looks like her dad. I’m sure she’s over 18 by now (right?) but I always see her as the little girl in Remember the Titans. Hence gross that she has this beast of a boyfriend.

But other than that…this wedding looks oh, so fun! I love the color scheme.

WOW! Lots of people attended the wedding and I couldn’t imagine if how many minutes did the bride consume just walking through the altar. Nevertheless, everything about the wedding is so lovely. This is what every bride is dreaming of.

My favorite part of weddings would have to be the dress, decorations, but above all….DESERT!!! The prettier and better looking, the more good tasting. I love how the center color was Orange and everything else was sort of centered around that one color (literally, there was orange in just about EVERYTHING!). But to the bride: you looked beautiful. You definately succeeded in being the center of attention.

Oh, I love that bridal bouquet! You say its peach peonies? They look like peach garden roses. Either way, they’re GORGEOUS!
