OH, HELLO PRETTIEST DRESSES IN THE WORLD… it’s so nice to meet you! | The wedding & bmaid dresses I’m crushing on, HARD-STYLE. + Bam makes friends, OBVS.

Happy Monday afternoon, darlings!  Did you guys enjoy your weekends?  I sure hope so.  For us, this weekend was chock-full of family time, so it was busy busy busy.  My niece and nephew along with their mommy and daddy (my sister/brother-in-law), plus my kick-ass big brother (not to be confused with my beloved even-though-he’s-25-years-old-I-still-wanna-consider-myself-his-other-mother little brother) are all in town on the homestead out in the country, and it’s been too, too long since the last time we’ve all been hunked together in one reuniony situation thingie.  We do it every year or so, sometimes twice if we’re lucky, but still, it feels like too much time passes every time.  Anyway, even MORE exciting, the littles (niece is seven; nephew is four) got to meet THE BAM.  And, naturally, maximum adorableness and good times followed, complete with jumping and happy yelling on both parts (babes and dogs).  I’ll be slapping a wee little taste of the fun at the bottom of today’s post.  But first…

OMGTHESEDRESSESANDACCESSORIESAREOWNINGMYFACE.

I would like each and every dress below to report to my closet immediately.  Please and thank you.

↑ Style: Palm Springs

↑ Styles, clockwise: Adelaide, Mackay, Devenport & Swan

↑ Style: Santa Rosa

Ok, let’s stop here for a moment.  Not because I’m completely blown away by what’s coming up next, but actually because I’m really undecided and want to get your input.

Exhibit A: Style Grafton

Here’s my problem: I cannot figure out if I dig this, or I BEYOND HATE it.  I can’t figure it out.  Seriously.  What think you?  Is it stylish?  Is it almost there, but needs some improvements right around where the good on top meets the far-too-simple of the bottom?  Is a perfect match?  Or is it TERREEBLAY and I just need to accept it.  I dunno.  Something about the back…

Is grabbing my face and won’t let go.  Lemme know what you think, because I actually can’t stand indecision, even though I’m the queen of it.  Go figure.

Ok, moving right along, YOUR SHORT OPTIONS:

Styles, clockwise: Albury, Lithgow and Melbourne

Pretty cute, eh?  I included that long one in there because it’s the long version of ok this is ridiculous you guys are obviously smarter than that.  I’m not going to tell you the obvious.  Show a little respect, Alison. ;)

BRIDESMAID DRESS PICKS:

Those bridesmaids’ dresses above are all style 8154 (well, save for that last one in the lower right corner – 8823 – which I included as evidence of some belt versatility action I’m about to discuss… but anyway).  The dress style is HIGHLY VERSATILE, not to mention, comes in myriad colors, AND can be matched with great accessories such as that lovely embellished floral belt, called “Encore,” which comes in black or candlelight (both shown).  All of this is just more reason to love Watters.  Lovely bridesmaids dresses, great accessories.  WON’T BREAK THE BANK.  So good it hurts.

Ok, here’s my absolute FAVE bridesmaid dress pick at the moment – it’s style 8510, it’s made of imported crinkle chiffon, and here’s the description, for fun…

“Flirty” dress, round neckline and v-neck back, with a ruffled bodice, above the knee skirt and black imported crinkle chiffon.”

Ok now, seriously, behold below, a little black dress your bridesmaids will actually WEAR AGAIN:

P.S. – That’s that the “Encore” embellished flower belt again.  Isn’t it great?  Gotta love accessories.

Ok, anyway, I kinda want that dress on my body right now.  No joke.  I’m begging.

Thank you, Watters for sharing these beauties!  We heart you so. :)

And now, for a brief sojourn into the activities that ensued when my niece and nephew collided with Bambino McPuppyPants, for the first time ever.

The best part of it is what you can’t see or hear here.  All they kept saying, throughout the whole time they were with him, was “He’s soooo cute!” … “Awww, what a cutie!” … “I love him so much!” … “He’s such a cute baby puppy!”

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard little kids talk about littler kids the way that adults talk about them, but it’s THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD.

Ok, SO!  Thoughts? Do you dig these frocks?  Are you a fan of the bmaid dress options that I chose?  Do you HATE MY GOSHFORSAKEN STYLE?  Oh golly, I sure hope not.  That sounds terrible.

And for reals, I’d love to know your call on that dress I’m on the fence about.  Love it?  Hate it?  Is it sitting in the purgatory of your mind?  So, a little bit of love, and little bit of hate… but really, completely ambivalent about it?  Lemme know so I can make up my mind, once and for all. :)

xoxo!  – Alison

Your tweet about actually wearing a bridesmaid dress again sent me rushing over here. (Brides always say that) My friend told us, “oh if you go on a cruise it will be perfect for formal night”… haha…have I worn it again? no. But you were so right! I also love all the other pretty dresses. My favorite is the first short option.

  6. I absolutely LOVE these dresses. Especially the back of the Sydney dress, the entire Palm Springs and your FAV which will will have to fight for because I WANT it too ;-) Not too thrilled about Grafton. It looks nice up close, but with the whole bottom of the dress…eh, not really diggin’ it.

The Grafton dress on the first image blew me away…. Absolutely stunning! I just really don’t like the bottom! I don’t think the fabrics work together, it looks unfinished!!
I love love love the Sydney dress! Beautiful

Ok…I mean I always love Watters…they just churn out such wonderful designs. I am in passionate love with the Hollywood style wedding gown. Ugh…so pretty.

As for Grafton. Honestly, I really like it. I think that it would be perfect for the bride that is looking for something ‘different’ but still wants to maintain a teeny bit of tradition. I think that the bottom of the bodice should be slightly more fitted but hey…a killer seamstress could always fix that.

I am wildly adoring the black bridesmaid dress that is your favorite…I can absolutely see wearing it to a cocktail or New Years party with the right accessories after worn as a bridesmaid.

Your niece and nephew are darling and I always love a puppy. :)

I’m in Watters heaven-is it just me, or do their dresses get better every season? Sydney is actually giving me heart palpitations.

As for that peplum number, I think the back is magical and the front…well, maybe it’s just extra puffy and fresh? Perhaps with a little wear and tear it would be less disjointed?

And Bambino making friends?!? You know just what I need on a Monday afternoon.

Can’t WAIT for tomorrow’s post-I’m practically peeing with excitement, not for tonight’s Bachelorette or Emily’s Big Pretty Cry, but for your thoughts!

There is nothing better than a stunning, chic, beautiful wedding gown. Going wedding dress shopping is probably the most fun part of my job! I’m loving the floral trend for Fall 2011!

I love the Grafton dress just the way it is! I think it’s stunning and allows for super awesome accessories. Then like all of the other ladies – I love sydney. So dreamy and romantic.

And little black bridesmaid dress… how I wish you had been chosen. I have been in 24 weddings… yes you read that right.. 24. And I have NOT worn any of the dresses (except at Halloween) ever again. I don’t even want to tell you how much I have spent on the massive collection, not to mention matching shoes, accessories….

Be nice to your bridesmaids… Buy them that beautiful black dress up there. :)

@Tayler Watters has an amazing feature on their site where you can find the exact dress on a map. I know because I fell in love with Sydney, had to have it and had to drive two hours to get it! It was totally worth it. It’s really the prettiest dress I’ve ever seen and the other styles ain’t bad either!
