WIN A COOKBOOK + HELP FOR HAITI… giving people + giveaways | Much Love for Tartelette & So Many Others

I have told you how much I love my google reader, correct?  Well, I’m happy to announce yet another reason…

That’s right, Helen of Tartelette is having a Cookbook Giveaway!

I love, love, LOVE Tartelette.  (That image above has got my heart for obvious reasons.)  It’s one of the best food/recipe blogs around, and I could stare in awe of Helen’s amazing food styling talents all day long.  It’s worth a visit just to get your fab food fix, let alone participate in the giveaway!

But you’re here for the giveaway!  So, here’s what you have to do: simply comment on Tartelette’s giveaway post (mind you, only one entry per person) no later than Friday February 12th midnight eastern US time!  Tartelette is giving away TWO pretty spectacular books – Amy’s Bread and Unforgettable Desserts – and the winner of each book (so, two winners, one unique book each) will be chosen at random.  So cool!

Now, as if that wasn’t enough, Helen is also one of the many incredible contributors to the BlogAid Cookbook, a Haitian relief effort begun by Julie, of Dinner with Julie.

Helen writes: “The proceeds from the book sales will go straight to Haitian relief via the Red Cross and Doctors without Borders. It’s not all though! Both West Canadian AND Blurb are matching the dollar amount of the proceeds raised, to TRIPLE those dollars going to Haiti. And until February 12th, the Canadian government will match that.”

Click here to check out all 27 of those who contributed recipes and photos, or grab your copy of a great book for an even greater cause.

On the same note, I really wanted to share with you a video from the “Hope For Haiti Now” Telethon, which supported Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit For Earthquake Relief.  100% of the funds raised will go to relief efforts in Haiti, with no backend costs.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t a video out there that fit neatly within the confines of this post, but I decided that aesthetics were not a priority today.

Label(s): {Food + Drink}

Love all of this...
