It’s available in any of the colours from my Signature Collection range however I think these two combinations are just the right amount of sweet for it and work perfectly with this design.  I would love to hear what your favourite is…?

So, it’s time for our second Valentine’s Day feature, you guys.  And you’re in for a treat.  Well, more like several treats.  Actually, more like several free treats, you can keep!  Remember back on Wednesday when we brought you “French Elegance” Valentine’s Day inspiration by Couture Events?  Remember those gorgeous images, chock full of the most elegant and pinktastic inspiration you could possibly imagine, complete with free printables to make your romantic homemade evening really shine?  Well…

How about an All American Brunch with your sweetheart!  This table is overflowing with delicious berries complete with homemade strawberry, blueberry, and cherry jam.  Everything about this tabletop was handmade, even the little pom-pom balls made out of cupcake holders flattened in half and glued one to the next.  The patterned “Happy Heart Day” pennants, cupcake wraps, and jam labels are the little details that make this table shine.  Delicious desserts that can be made at home: heart shaped brownies, crimson and sapphire cupcakes, and fruit cups.  This fun All American valentines tabletop is the perfect way to spend a day outside with your honey!

When I saw this gorgeous bundle of Valentine’s Day inspiration pop into my inbox a little over a week ago, it literally stopped me in my tracks.  No, seriously.  No.  SERIOUSLY.  We were on our way out the door when Krystel of Couture Events submitted this shoot.  I asked the honey to “gimme a few minutes please” and proceeded to click on a few of the images just to get a taste of a little bit more pretty before we left.  No biggie.  It’s how I do.  Anyway, I looked at a few of these shots and I pretty much immediately wrote her back.  This is kind of unprecedented around holiday time.  We receive so many AMAZEBALLS submissions (thank you to everyone out there who’s submitted, by the way!) that, typically, it takes some time, and a little debating amongst each other, to nail down which shoots to feature.  But it took approximately a handful of minutes to know that we were going to bring this double feature (yup, there’s a Part II!) to your collective faces.  And mind you it was Saturday, I was half-way out the door on my way to shoot paper dresses at Anthro, and this got me to stop moving and write an email.  That’s quite an impact.  I mean, I was on my way to ANTHRO, you guys.  ANTHRO!

You understand.

And don’t even get me started on the free printables you’re about to see.  Speechless.  Here’s a taste, and it has a little something to do with that poem you just read up top…

Now, here’s the full scoop on what’s going on today, from Krystel!

Couture Events partnered with Nic. Roc. Designs to put this Valentine’s vision together.  We wanted to create inspiration for engaged couples and newly weds so that they could create a perfect day or night at home for their lover instead of spending oodles on one Valentine’s Day date!

The concept for part one of this shoot is a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner for two.  Creating a sultry and elegant ambiance with candles, feathers, and lace.  Soft pastel pinks and creams.  Vintage frames used as bases for the centerpieces.  An incredible dessert table made up entirely of decedent desserts you can find at your local grocery store.  This is the perfect way to spend your Valentine’s at home with your love!

Nic. Roc. Designs made all of the stationery/paper elements, and she has created templates exclusively for this shoot.  If you’d like to print your own, a link will be provided for you at the base of this post.  You can print off the exact stationery pieces she created for this shoot and place them on your own table at home!

Rae Flore created DIY arrangements with step by step instructions and photos so you can create them at home as well.  Visit her site for more on that!

Handmade Aprons and Headbands are the perfect way to prepare your Valentine’s Day meal in style!  Willow Tree Designs custom designs aprons and headbands according to your personal preference.

Here’s the first thing my little niece said when she got downstairs this morning:

“OOOOOHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYY GAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWSH.

… Can we go outside and play in the snow?”

Ok, rewind (like in the those movies where they start by showing you the end of the movie, and then they rewind to the beginning, to show you how all the characters wound up getting there… except nowhere near as interesting or climactic).  Yeah, sooo… here’s what happened this weekend:

We had the best Christmas ever.  That’s what happened.  My 6-yr-old niece, almost 4-yr-old nephew, my older sister, her husband, my little brother (he’s 25), my honey, and my folks all got together and spent the Christmas holiday in one single house.

And now we’re all snowed in.  So, we’re ALL WORKING FROM HOME.  (Let’s just pray the heat stays on, and the internet doesn’t conk out.  Side note: the internet has failed us for lesser reasons, like rain, and brisk winds, and squirrels, so cross your fingers.)  By the way, this home we’re stranded in?  It’s our folks’ home.  So they love it, and they can’t get enough of it. :)

Here’s the cute part: We’re all working on our computers and laptops, and talking on our cell phones, so my niece decided to get in on the action and created her very own apple laptop computer, and her very own cell phone.  You should see these things.  They are as close to a real laptop and a real cell phone as paper and crayons can get.  Spitting images.  Kids are awesome.

Anyway, the good news about this snowed in deal is that we’ve got a crapload of leftovers to nosh on until the approximately 2 feet of snow that surrounds our abode begins to clear/melt away.  I’d say we’re stuck here for no more than 4 days, max.  Thank goodness for country homes and their multiple bathrooms.
