GIVEAWAY + DISCOUNT CODES | Win $250 To Use On Something Beautiful from Emici Livet!

_-LEAD-EMICI-LIVET-GIVEAWAY

As I’ve said before, I love Marie at Emici Livet and she is a goddess.  A goddess as in she is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet and she cares about every piece – every bouquet, every sash, every ring pillow, every hair accessory, etc. etc – that she makes, as if it were her child.  That genuine love for her work, combined with unparalleled ability and technique (plus a very healthy obsession with perfectionism, lets be honest), always results in a one of a kind piece that’ll melt your eyes off and make you run to the doctor to get a new set of eyes just so you can start staring at it again.  I really am not overstating this, trust.  Her creations are like, really beautiful, and you’ll end up passing them down for generations whether or not that was your plan initially.

The stuff she makes – it draws you in.

So it’s so fun for me to be able to host a giveaway from Marie for Knotty readers.  Here’s what you’ll win:

$250, which you can use towards anything in Marie’s collection!

It’s Emici Livet’s BIGGEST GIVEAWAY EVER, you guys.  Like whoa.

If you’re like “screw the giveaway, I want to get something NOW” well then guess what- I have a discount code for you.  Actually, I have two.  Just go to Emici Livet and pick out what you want, then use the code KNOTTYBRIDE and boom, 10% discount.  This applies site-wide, people.  Marie’s also throwing in a code for free shipping.  It’s FREESHIP, duh.  These codes will expire about an hour before we announce the winner so don’t wait around y’all.  Now, check out a sampling of the beauties that await you on her site, then…

Scroll down for how to enter (FYI it’s easy)!

PINK + PEACH REAL WEDDING | Vibrant colors on your wedding day pretty much guarantee a good time! | Also… I. Am. Obsessed. With. This. Wedding Gown. {+ Bam, obvs!}

I just applied a snake bite venom removal survival tactic to my keyboard’s face.  This is my life.   Alison spills coffee on her spacebar, Alison calls upon her experience in reality survival show watching, Alison puts lips to spacebar, and sucks.  So I’m sitting here with poppy seeds, what I believe to be a bit of dust, and a wee bit of mocha coffee on the roof of my mouth.  So yeah, I don’t know what you’ve heard, but I think I know how to start a Wednesday. #DUH #winning?

Anywhozit, happy afternoon, lovelies!!!  I hope you’re doing well, all of you.  I have a stellar wedding to share with your face’s eyes today, and I kinda wanna jump right into it, if you’re down.  Wait, you’re down?  Cool!  Yeah, I played the assume game there, but it’s only because I really want you guys to feast your eyes already on what accompanies THIS KIND OF AMAZING ISH: {Continue reading…}

SHORT DRESS LOVE + THE BACHELORETTE | When it comes to the wedding day, is a short dress… acceptable?

SO!

Good afternoon, darlings!  I hope I’m posting this one late enough; it’s 6:00 PM EST, and I uhhh, well, I think you know what that means…

.. Before I tell you what it means, let me just mention real quick that this post is actually about wearing a short dress on your wedding day, so I’m excited to hear what your opinions are on that…

Ok, now, here’s what it means: {Continue reading…}

HAPPY AFTERNIZZLE, DARLINGS!

Aright here we go… I believe it was Friday, girls and boys, when we stumbled upon something I believe I will choose never to speak of again on this blog.  Something so hilariously in bad taste, something so phenomenally beyond the pale of what should happen on television, let alone in reality… something so redonkulously redonk, that I – well, simply put, I have very few to no words to speak on it. {Continue reading…}

SHARK WEEK!  WOOOooooOOOOOoooOOOO!  Nah, just kidding I couldn’t care less.  Hahaahaah.  Yeah.

Ok so here we go… happy Friday afternoon, friendlies!  How goes it?  Is it feelin’ hot hot hot where you are?  Because it’s 101 degrees of caliente here and so IT’S KIND OF A LITTLE INTENSE.  If I had alls-bay, they would probably be completely en fuego.  (Haha, I pig Latin’d balls, even though I unabashedly started out yesterday’s post with the very word in all its glory.  Hmph.  Odd.)  Anyway my focus is elsewhere, because our building sometimes *vibrates* for some unapparent and most likely harmful reason, however I’m sitting here in my vibrating chair and… not minding it so much?  In fact, I’m kind of enjoying it ifyaknowwhatimeanandithinkyoudo.  Sing it with me… I’m pickin’ up goooood viiiiiibraaaaations.  Yeah ok I need some water; maybe that’ll get the crazy out.  I beg you to blame the heat for any further instances of crazy.  Ok?  Please?  I’m gonna go ahead and assume that you’re on board.  Great. {Continue reading…}

Happy Monday, friendlies!  Hope you had a nice weekend!  Aright enough niceties…

First off – sigh, I know, “Kim Kardashian, Alison?  Really?”  I know, I know.  I get it.  Someone who’s career launched out of a sex video, and who keeps that career going by knowingly exploiting that very thing that made her famous but who complains publicly every time a magazine shows a little nip *is not* someone to be admired here on TKB.  Totes with you on that.  But here’s the thing: {Continue reading…}

REAL WEDDING ❦ lovely country nuptials {+ succulent bouquet love!} ❦ by Katie Stoops

Before we jump in to today’s fabulous real wedding, let me just quickly share with you my current FAVORITE BOUQUET STYLE IN THE WHOLE FREAKING WORLD, shot by none other than Katie Stoops:

* * *

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming…

I’m telling you, from the sunflower bouquet to the adorable wittle puppy to the pumpkins of various sizes and hues, I have fallen hook, line and sinker for this romantic country wedding.  Katie Stoops is one of my favorite wedding photographers, and this wedding is nothing short of laid-back, family-focused perfection in my book!  Greta and David are the picture of love; their undeniable connection is almost palpable as you take in photo after photo.  I hope you love them and their big day as much as I do!

Oh I do believe
In all the things you see
What comes is better than what came before
And you’d better run run, run run to me
Better run, run run, run run to me
Better come, come come, come come to me
You’d better run

~ The Velvet Underground (but Katie features the Cat Power cover on her site… and it’s amazing.)

Heaven.  I consider this wedding a pure, unadulterated form of heaven.  Give me a wedding this intimate, this low-key, this loving and simple, and you’ve given me the world on a plate.

Thoughts?

REAL WEDDING + BOUQUET LOVE ❦ Christy and Christian ❦ Photos by Jose Villa

I have a little secret: pink, white and green make up the three colors of the first color scheme with which I ever fell in love.  I adore the look, as long as the pink is subtle, and the white/green command the space.

With today’s wedding… mission: accomplished.

Feast your eyes on the wedding of Christy and Christian, photographed by Jose Villa (aka, my photography GOD).  I am overwhelmed by the love I have for the ceremony and reception decor, but what really blew me away at first sight was the bride’s exquisite bouquet.  My attention was drawn to its full, tightly packed cabbage-like blooms pretty much immediately, and I can’t stop staring at that thing!  I haven’t seen anything quite like it.

Look, it blossomed!  I’m going to have a joy heart attack over here.

That cake is kind of my favorite thing in the world right now.  Apples lining the base of a wedding cake.  So unexpected.  But oh so divine!

See this rest of this endlessly inspiring wedding over here on Jose’s blog!

FRIDAY’S FAB FINDS ❦ Starting with… drumroll… THE HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!

So, I must start off with the most important piece of news today… well, it was yesterday, but whatever here’s the news:

I’m the newest guest blogger on Style Me Pretty!!!  WHAT?!  I know!  Abby does such a great job over there and I’m having an absolute blast being a part of all the wedding action to be had.  I hope you guys like my posts going forward!  Be sure to check out the first and second parts of my very first wedding feature!  That is, if giant inflatable swans at an elegant backyard wedding are the kinds of things that pique your interest.

See them?  See the swans?  Yes, they are fake.  Yes, I would have wanted to ride them, had I attended Nada and Paul’s wedding.  Seriously, how did everybody resist?

***

I’m completely smitten with these fabulous – and free! – desktop wallpapers that Ruche has create for our personal use and endless enjoyment.  Aren’t they ridic?

I’m currently using this one:

And this next one is the spittin’ image of that super sweet e-session I featured recently on this here bloggity blog.  Remember?  Now you can have the same-ish background that couple had!  And, depending on the size of your computer screen/your personal height, you might be able to pose in front of it for your very own e-session!  Yeah, not so much.  But all [totally idiotic] kidding aside, I am loving these backgrounds to death!

***

Totally in love with everything Leslie does over at Color Me Pretty on Decor8.  Prepare to gush:

That quaint little pot of floral yumminess brings up pleasant memories of my fave bouquets!  Leslie that is GORG.

I’ve always loved the way those candies look (below)… though I’ve never actually tried them.  I feel that I would be disappointed.  Are they any good?

***

Ooooh gosh.  I love.love.love. these dresses.

Especially the beige number on Emma Roberts.

Vanity Fair via Marry You Me

Crossing my fingers someone knows and decides to email me about it.  Because I love it like I would my own child.  That much.

***

Speaking of gowns, I’m also loving J.Crew’s wedding offerings… and REALLY loving the fact that they’re finally opening up an actual bridal store so that we can all go inside of it and actually TRY ON THEIR WEDDING DRESSES. Because, really, what’s the point if we can’t try them on?

And you know how much I covet their flower girl line.  Put that little lady in one of those fancy frocks, and she’ll never change out of it.

***

Ok, one more thing: I saw these DIY wedding invitations here on Style Me Pretty the other day.  How. Fabulous. Are. These. Invitations.  How fabulous?  The bride designed, cut, perforated, printed and compiled all 200 of them… herself.  We should all be so committed to our goals.

Her tools: a sewing machine, paper cutter, home printer, tons of lace, ribbon for days, a crapload of pearls, and hand seals.

Bravo, Rachael.  Bravo with your bad self.
