FREE CUSTOM MONOGRAM LOVE ♥ Save Trees ♥ Carve Your Names in THIS!

OK, you know how much I LOOOOOOVE the Wedding Chicks.  If not, let me remind you.

… But when they make things for us like this, I just… I… it’s just…

All I can think of to say is THANK YOU, Amy and Jocey!  You two are helping us ramp up that pretty factor in our lives, AND saving countless trees in the process, now that we don’t have to go and carve our names in actual trees anymore!  Thank goodness, because that is soooo 50s!  Plus, with Earth Day ’round the corner, this is exactly the kind of thing we need.

Oooh, did I mention the color combination options?  Because there are many, and they are AWESOME.

It was extremely fun to make this.  Which I know sounds ridiculous, but it was, it really was.

So, want a piece of this interactive graphic action?  Who am I kidding, of course you do!  Click here to create your own custom heart + arrow monogram right now, over on the Wedding Chicks blog!

In the meantime, check out some photos Amy took depicting all the cool stuff you can do with your custom monogram (ideas included below: invitations, envelopes, labels, menus and table numbers):

If this doesn’t spell cuteness, I don’t know what does.

FRIDAY’S FAB FINDS ♡ bunny love ♡ Vintage Labels, Delectable Treats, a Bunny Cozy, Easter Projects and Free Printables for Easter Weekend!

First up, here’s a cute bunny.

He’s just an adorable little reminder that Easter fast approaches!  It’s THIS Sunday, April 4, as if you didn’t know.  I love Easter, for myriad reasons… the main one is coming up in the next post, today.  But a huge reason I love it is because, every year, we celebrate by heading out to my Aunt and Uncle’s house, and eating ham and turkey and sweet potatoes and carrot cake (or pudding, maybe?) and all that other fare synonymous with Easter… as well as with Christmas and Thanksgiving.  (It’s interesting how all those holidays sort of share the same meal.  Why change up a good thing, I guess.  Though it’s not that good.  Though I’ve never had a food dream – which seems odd now that I’m writing it out – I feel confident that it wouldn’t involve turkey and ham.)

Next find is from yvestown: an Easter bunny cozy!  I have much love for this.

Country Living has got me spinning over these precious little pictures and projects.  Behold!

I am adoring the heck out of these vintage Easter labels from Suzee Que.  She’s constantly uploading such fun and lovely labels.  It’s always a thrill to check in and see what she’s got.  In fact, I’ve got a post involving her labels coming up in the very near future that I KNOW, absolutely KNOW, you’re gonna go apes*** over.

Check out these super cute free printable egg wrappers and Easter egg hunt cards, from Two Brunettes!!!

And, finally, Mowielicious brings us home with some of the most delicious looking things I think I’ve ever seen.  Though, I should disclose that Cadbury Mini Eggs and macarons are kind of my favorite things going in this world, edible wise.

I’m a little post-happy, today.  More coming your way, in a bit.  It’s the one I referenced in this morning’s post.  Talk to you soon!  Hope you guys are having a fabulous Friday!

xoxo, Alison

Well, do you have any oranges handy?

Now, here’s some more of Jill’s brilliant work to get you inspired…

I LOVE the hankies!!!  What a fabulous touch.  You could even embroider your own for a truly personalized look!

I adore the vintage inspired threads worn by the lovely ladies in this shoot.  Their ensembles lend to the romantic, delicate feel of the shoot.

I love the style of dress in these photographs so much, that I’ve gathered up a few looks from – where else – Anthro, that I thought might help you to complete the look.

Or may I suggest this fitted sweater, also from Anthro – called the “Small Packages Cardi,” layered over a simple chemise:

Though this “Optimist Dress” isn’t necessarily very close to the looks achieved in Thomas’ shoot, I fell in love with it and had to share:

FRIDAY’S FAB FINDS + VALENTINE’S DAY INSPIRED GOODNESS ~ makin’ zee love babies ~ { Part II } Say hi to the next beautiful bunch! | Pretty Printables ♥ Sweet, Delicious Desserts

Oh, hello again!  I didn’t see you there.  Back for thirds, I see.  Well, you’re in for some good news, buddy.  I think it’s safe to say I’ve had a 1 – 2 – 3 PUNCH of post prettiness as far as pretty posts go these days.  (If I do say so myself.)  And my excitement level about this third one is off the charts…

Speaking of charts (yeah, I just did that), how perfect are these for getting in the Valentine’s Day spirit?  They’re Love Charts, loosely and lovingly adapted from your typical doctor’s eye chart… AND I LOVE THEM.

I have these free printables, but I haven’t yet created something as darling as this satchel (above) I discovered while flipping through designinglee‘s photostream (which I found while perusing some craft photostreams – talk about inspiration overload, by the way).

Look what else she did with it!  This girl is officially one of my soul sistas.

I know you want to know how to get your hands on this, and I’m excited to tell you!  Good relationship, we have here.  It’s from ink-bloom!  Go ahead, check them out.  You get the free printable when you sign up for their emails!!!  I am so plugging them for free right now.  How nice am I?

So, I hope y’all are having yourselves a fabulous Friday thus far.  However, if that’s not exactly how you’d describe your day, then I’m betting this will cheer you right up…

I found this remarkably beautiful, drool-inducing Valentine’s Day dessert buffet – created by the amazing Amy Atlas – during what turned out to be a very exciting visit to the ultimate foodie mecca, Hostess with the Mostess.

Those My Valentine heart cookies are perfection!

Loving these rock candy sticks and meringue cookies:

Ahh.  A pink and gray heaven.  I just wanna live inside of it.

… But first, I want one of those cuppies with the keys on top!

Next up is pure photographic beauty.

FORM OF: wedding desserts, drinks and decor.  TAKEN BY: Amelia Lyon.

I’m a big fan of Amelia Lyon’s work.  I’ve featured her before, in one of my favorite wedding photography posts so far.

And now, a little Bakerella love…

Wanna give someone in your life a big ol’ KISS?  Let me recommend Bakerella’s Hershey-but-actually-Oreo Kisses!  It’s a sort of hybrid delight, that you’re gonna like.  I guarantee it.  But I can’t guarantee you’re gonna like the way you look if you eat too many.  So make sure you give ‘em away, mostly.

Isn’t this super?  They look like Hershey’s Kisses… they act like Hershey’s Kisses… but they taste like… well I don’t know what they taste like because I haven’t yet made them.  But the answer’s probably good.

Take a trip on over to Bakerella, and try your hand at these Kiss-tastic treats.

Hey, guess what?

A pretty printable – for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

These beautiful DIY favor labels are sooooo perfect if you place them on one of my favorite things in the whole wide world: brown paper bags!  (Yes, you’re right – I’m easily pleased.)

I found these printable labels on Flights of Fancy, a lovely blog brought to you by the Betsywhite Stationery Boutique.  It’s focus is on – you guessed it – wedding stationery.  GOT TO LOVE that.

Here are the tools you’ll need to make your own:

- brown paper lunch bags from the grocery store (if you go to Michael’s you’ll find them, too, but they’re a little bit pricier than those at the grocery store)

- a ruler

- an x-acto knife (there’s probably one in your office’s supply closet; shh, I didn’t say that)

- a bone folder

- Double-sided tape or Duck Easy-Stick® Double Stick Adhesive

Note: Flights of Fancy recommends the Easy-Stick for this project.

I think that’s enough for today.  I hope you’re feeling full in the belly with all that edible inspiration!

Alright, here’s me wishing you only the happiest of Fridays, dear friends.  You’re gonna love what I’ve got for you next time.  Oooohhh you are gonna LOVE IT!!!

WILL YOU MARRY ME? | the great cake lollie proposal…

Bakerella does some amazing things with a little bit of flour, sugar and some lollie sticks.  But this project takes the cake.

It goes on, as you can imagine…

But, here’s the beauty part:

And, stop right there. That’s it – that’s where I start to tear up.

Find out what prompted all of this and more, over at Bakerella.  If you have feelings, the story will touch your heart like crazy.  I tear up a bit every time I read it.  I have never met these people, and I tear up a bit.  You want to make fun of me?  Go ahead.  I may be ridiculous, but at least I have copious amounts of feelings that cannot be contained.

Happy Thursday, to all.

GIFTS I COVET | This Girl Wants These Gifts. You Will, Too.

Hey everybody, hope the holidays are treating you well this year.  With Christmas days away, unless you have car (not the case for a city-dweller like me), I’m not so sure you’ll be able to grab these gifts in time.  But here’s the thing, and let’s be honest with ourselves… we’ll probably just want to get these goodies for our own personal use.  Am I right or am I right?  And I wouldn’t give myself a hard time if I got myself a belated gift.  Would you?

HOLIDAY FAVES LOVE | dreamy diys + pretty printables + awe-inspiring images | Heavenly Holiday Decor + Gift Packaging Perfection = My Happiness

There are lots of reasons why the holidays are one of my favorite times of the year, but ranking high among them are the following two:

~ dreamy and delightful holiday decor

~ pretty packaging perfection by incredibly creative crafters

Combine those two with my absolute favorite thing in general and of all time – photography – and you get marvelous, breathtakingly beautiful things… wondrous things that never cease to amaze me, no matter how many times or however long I stare at them.  Here are several examples of that magic, created by some of the greatest triple threats around.  Click on the links announcing each set to visit each artist’s space on the web (Flickr pages or personal weblogs).

I Love Danielle Thompson

HOLIDAY BAKED TREATS LOVE | Festive Cupcakes That Go Way Beyond Icing and Sprinkles…

Want to make a serious impact this holiday season, but feel your typical treats just aren’t cutting it this year?  Or maybe you kinda sorta forgot to buy gifts for your family and friends, and it’s December 22 already.  Whoa, came outta nowhere, right?!

Okay, no worries, everything’s fine.  Bakerella has some major league ideas that are sure to drop jaws…

Show up on the scene holding a sweet lookin’ batch of any of the uber-creative confections below – all courtesy of the magnificent Bakerella – and you’ll finally be able to throw away your copy of “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”

It’s through their eyes and their stomachs, my friends.  Their eyes and their stomachs.

So, how about these adorable Coca-Cola Cupcakes?

(Sooo cute.)

My favorite part might be the multi-color shells you have to buy:

It’s a little involved, as you can see, so…

Go check out the instructions on how to Make These Coca-Cola Cupcakes.

Another one of Bakerella’s projects I adore:.

How PERFECT are these itty bitty cupcake Christmas trees?!!

To make them, you’ll need sugar cones…

Snowflake sprinkles…

And candy canes, just to name a few ingredients.

Want to try your hand at this? Here’s how to make these Candy Cane Christmas Tree Cupcakes.

Of course, it doesn’t stop there.  Bakerella has tons of ideas and recipes, and some seriously phenomenal photography to go along with it.  I especially love the shots that depict the initial steps of her baking process:

Okay… so I’m going to leave you with that for the time being, as I go bake something immediately, because I’ve just thoroughly enticed and tortured myself and unfortunately there’s no turning back… Talk soon!

PAPER LOVE | wrap it up | Don’t Get Your Hopes Up; No One Can Wrap Like This…

Don’t you wish you could wrap your gifts this perfectly? I do. - design_army_papers

But, unless we’re sending our packages via email – aka not sending real gifts to people in real life, a serious holiday-fail – we’ll just have to settle for a little human error in our gift wrapping efforts.  Fortunately, there are gift wrapping papers as fun and spirited as these bright beauties from Design Army, which make even the worst wrap-job totally forgivable.  This bundle is called the “Do-Re-Mi” Wrapping Paper collection, and you can get it here.

Leslie’s loveliness inspired me to gather up my favorite manifestations of that oh-so-special color triumvirate.  My heart actually beats faster when I look at these other bits ‘n’ pieces of holiday inspiration.  Totally serious.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

HOLIDAY LOVE | Wrap Your Gifts in Pretty, Decorative Packaging… It Makes ALL The Difference

For You! tag

Yesterday, I received a package.  I was promised it would arrive several days ago, but, as you can easily infer, it didn’t.  I’m not so much a stickler for timeliness as I am someone who appreciates keeping your word if you’ve promised something.  So, it shouldn’t surprise any of you that I wasn’t too thrilled about the late arrival.

But guess what?

When I opened it up, it revealed THE MOST PRECIOUS packaging efforts I had ever seen in my life.

The package came late?  Oh.  I had forgotten as I stared lovingly at the pink tissue paper and brown Kraft confetti.  Lateness?  Completely forgiven.

Clearly, the right packaging can make quite a splash with your recipient.  Honestly, I don’t know what I would have done with myself, had that item arrived on time.  Great packaging and timeliness might have made me fly out there and thank her myself.

So, in case you were looking for the perfect way to package your gifts this holiday season, I think I might have just the thing.

Have you seen these lovely paper goods from Martha Stewart Crafts?  I just love all of the packaging materials she offers.  Below are a bunch of my favorites.  They are divine for packing up some fresh, homemade (or store-bought like the rest of us) cookies, or a bunch of your favorite chocolates.  … Or any other little bits of love you’d like to share with someone.  She also has absolutely darling flair for you to pretty up your basic package.  Crafty or not, you can do this!

~                         ~                         ~

QUICK NOTE: Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing with you some of the best wedding crafts and deals floating around in this here ether we call the ‘net. Do you know the only thing that upsets me about all these goodies and DIY projects?  That I can’t have 17 separate weddings, just so I can use it all and do it all.
