BRIDAL BEAUTY | Look + FEEL Better with the Best Natural Cleanse I’ve Found, Y’all.

If you guys know me, you know I’m not a big fan of fad diets and cleanses.  Unless they work.  And it’s a mega bonus if they’re gluten free (gluten is BAAAAD, whether or not you’re allergic to it).  Soy and caffeine free = even better.  So that’s why, today, we’re gonna talk about Kaeng Raeng.  Because it works.

I like things that work, especially when they’re HEALTHY and make your colon happier.  There is literally nothing not to love about that.

I have to say, I’ve always been wary of trying out a cleanse – everything out there seems so unhealthy.  Just the idea of “cleansing” my body shouldn’t feel unhealthy to me.  This is why I’m a Kaeng Raeng fan; there are three all-natural flavors and each contains an ounce of freeze dried fruit (legitimate real fruit – I feel like I have to say that in this age of food fakeness), plus other important healthy components like protein, fiber and everything you’d typically get from your likely synthetic daily vitamin.

It’s pretty easy, too.  Drink three pouches per day (in addition to a healthy diet, ideally a raw vegan diet but I’m not your mom).  You mix the pouches with plain water, or you can make it interesting with some frozen fruit and ice <== smoothie time!

Recently, Kaeng Raeng launched Kaeng Raeng Bride.  These bridal packages are discounted cleanse packages made especially for the bride, the bridal party, even the happy couple.  I love a good discount and I imagine I’m not alone in this.  You can take a look at these packages (and the pretty significant savings) here.

I do want to note that if you check out Kaeng Raeng‘s reviews on the interwebs you’ll see people really rave about this cleanse.  Even Lauren Conrad is a fan.  I wouldn’t be sharing it with you if I didn’t think it was worth your while.  Duh.

Have you considered a cleanse?  I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.  I used to be super frightened of cleanses but this one took the fear away!

I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to what I put in my mouth. ~ by Jessica, Real Bride

So… food is kind of a big deal with me. I’ve been in the food biz for a little over 5 years now, doing everything from catering weddings to slinging soup at the farmer’s market. I’m a certifiable foodie and a bit of a snob when it comes to what I put in my mouth (<— no cheap shots please). It doesn’t have to be fancy, just good.

The thought of choosing a caterer in {Continue reading…}

REAL WEDDING | Sarah + Jason | New Hampshire Mountain Farm Wedding, Part III | Homemade pies on tree slices are my new favorite thing.

Ok, whoa.

I knew yesterday’s giveaway finalists post would get a big response, but OH MY CRAP.  We’re glad you guys are so excited, though, so go that!  Can’t wait to see who wins!

First order of business.

The boy got a haircut a couple days ago.  Attraction to his facial region is presently supercharged.  I love that about haircuts.  Also, come home early tonight, sweet thang.  wink wink nudge nudge

I LOVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS … {especially after the morning I’ve had} … Which is Why I {Heart} Elizabeth Messina

Happy Thursday, my friends.  I just escorted a HUGE bug to the other side of the street, and it was disgusting.  Though my 6-year-old niece and 3-year old nephew seem to think it’s “cooooooool” which I get, but my niece in particular kept calling it “pretty.”  Pretty?  It was an inch and a half (for serious) and it had two sets of mouth talons, because I guess it needs a backup set of mouth talons if the first set of mouth talons somehow fail him in his taloning pursuits.  (Makes me seriously wonder what I must look like to her, since she likes to call me pretty, too.)  Anyway, I needed some color lovin’ to try and forget about this morning’s experience.  This did the trick:

Thoughts?  Is this inspiring or is this inspiring?  Elizabeth Messina makes my heart pump more blood throughout my body, and at a faster pace, which simulates the feeling of being in love with her.  I’m feeling very confused, but I kinda like it.

RICE KRISPIE TREATS LOVE | wedding cake creativity | I Mean, Why Not?

I went to the grocery store on an empty stomach today, so naturally I left with mini marshmallows so I could make a childhood favorite – sweet, delicious Rice Krispie Treats.

When I got home, I thought, “Rice Krispie Treat wedding cake.  I know somebody has done this.”  And I googled it.  Here’s what I found.

DESSERT LOVE ~ COOKIES | personalized cookie-cutter creations! | This. Is. Awesome.

I am so excited… SO EXCITED… about this post.  I stumbled upon this awesomeness while perusing Creature Comforts, which made mention of this product.  I checked it out on Williams-Sonoma, and just cannot – I, I just – it’s so – just LOOK and you’ll understand:

Do you see what I mean?!!

You can imprint pretty much any word or phrase you want.  There are seven pre-made words (Welcome, Happy, Birthday, Holidays, Thank You, From, I Love You), and three alphabet sets, not to mention extra vowels and other commonly used letters.

After you’ve arranged your letters, just press the cookie-cutter into the cookie dough, and voilà!  You’ve got a cookie with a message.  AWESOME.

The set comes with three cookie-cutter shapes: a scalloped-rectangle, a heart and a star.

As if that wasn’t enough; it comes with a dishwasher-safe mesh bag, which helps to make cleanup and storage a lot easier.  I cherish such things.  Without this dual-purpose baggie, I can guarantee you that somewhere in the process of piecing together a phrase, making a batch of cookies and cleaning everything involved, at least 16 of those letters would be MIA.  Entombed indefinitely within the cracks and crevices of my little Brooklyn kitchen, like so many mini time capsules left for future inhabitants.  I wonder, what would they make of the messages I unintentionally left for them?  I guess we’ll never know, since we’ve got those mesh bags.

So, picture it: your name + your fiancé’s name, imprinted on 100s of sugar cookies.  And maybe the words “Eat, Drink, Be Married” or something awfully cute like that, on another 100?  Yeah, that’s kind of a great idea.  Doesn’t get much more unique than that.  But wait, do you already have a dessert planned (separate from the wedding cake)?  If so, I think these cookies would make the absolute cutest wedding favor EVER.  After all, it’s widely known that guests prefer edible treats over most other wedding favors.

Want it?  You can find it here: Message-in-a-Cookie Cutter Set

Wedding Cake Fabulosity, Just Across the Pond

We came across these wedding cake wonders and immediately had to bring the visual ecstasy back here to you.

We’re going to take liberties here and assume you are a fan of a good cake.  That said, how much do you love these?!?  We think they are top-notch prize winners.  If there was a Nobel Cake Prize, and Maisie Fantaisie had opened its doors a week and a half prior to the nominee decision deadline, we would expect the award to go to Maisie.

May Clee-Cadman

Located in London, Maisie Fantaisie is a cake company started in 2003 by May Clee-Cadman, a young woman with a passion for baking that is exceeded only by her talent for creating drool-inducing wedding cakes like that one, pictured above… and we haven’t even TASTED IT YET!

Cake Toppers: Tacky or Tasteful?

There are a lot of opinions out there regarding the issue of to top or not to top, but one thing’s for sure: when we saw this vintage cake topper spread from project wedding, we fell in love all over again with the idea…

Soft and pretty pastels combine with vintage cake toppers

Those pretty pastels, alone, draw me in and don’t let go… maybe that’s what’s got me on the side of toppers, today? Hmm, I think that means the jury’s still out, friends.
