SUCCULENT DIY + MR ROGERS | Modern Golden Succulent Vases by Renee + My Shameful Sunday Night.

You guys, I watched the Real Housewives of New Jersey finale Sunday night and OMG, I cannot.  OMFG what was that.  Did you watch it (admit it so we can talk!)?  I didn’t know if I was supposed to be judging a pageant or jerking off to some new type of highly satisfying porn.  Is Women Annoyingly Yelling a genre of pornography?  If it isn’t then I have NFI what I ate my dinner to between 10 and 11pm.  I really think it was pornography because I was super into it while I was watching it but now that it’s over I feel ashamed/like I want to take it all back.  I’m sorry.  I’m so sorry.

Let’s shift gears and leave that back there, never to speak of it again as long as we live.  The following video went viral recently and if my heart were a caterpillar, this video reached inside of my chest tore out my still-beating heart and allowed it to blossom into a highly emotional butterfly, killing me.  So now my heart is a butterfly with PMS, WATCH OUT.   {Continue reading…}

“I fancy myself an unfussy outdoorsy type (as I sit with my laptop and iphone simultaneously texting, chatting, typing).” | By Real Bride Bloggista, Jessica

Hey guys. Jessica here! It’s gettin sticky out, and when it gets to the sticky time of year my mind starts to wander. Dreaming of that summer escape that stills the body and unwinds the mind. Oh how I long for this. But I have a wedding to plan people, so there’s no time for that now. But wait… {Continue reading…}

DIY WEDDING FUN + AN ODD NEW FAD | Vintage Spool Place Card DIY by Lauren + Alison *explores* the latest trend + a brand new Knotty Reader Challenge!

That title feels redundant.

Anyway… today, my friends, we have a twofer.  Part I = a super neat, super simple DIY project from our resident DIY expert, Lauren of Lauren Elise Crafted!  In Part II, yours truly will address that weird new fad thingie I mentioned on Twitter last night that I kinda sorta promised I’d address today on the blog and not chicken out on discussing, regardless of how aggressively incapable it is of being linked in any way to legit wedding content.  (Wait, did I say incapable?  BWAAAHAHAHAHAA!  Because I linked it.  See: The Knotty Challenge at the end of today’s post.  BOOYAHKASHA.)

Ok, BUT.  First things first: {Continue reading…}

GUEST BLOGGER | Ashley of Hi-Fi Weddings | Her Wedding Day Revealed!

Hello Knotties!  My name is Ashley and I created a site called Hi-Fi Weddings, which is all about your music at your wedding.  Perhaps you’ve heard of it, but if not then I’m even more ecstatic that Alison has asked me to share my own wedding with you all today!  I’m a music lover.  And I married a music lover (in fact, that’s what got us talking in the first place!) so you can bet that the music played at our wedding was the most important thing to us…  {Continue reading…}

GUEST BLOGGER | ‘Engaged and Inspired’ | Wedding Theme Inspiration: Board Game Roundup!

What would we do without Alison of The Knotty Bride?  Who knows!  She is one of the best bloggers out there for sure.  Well, hopefully while she is out of town, my fabulous ideas and inspiration will suffice for the time being.  I’m Allison from Engaged and Inspired bringing you some fantastically cute themed weddings which I am oh so jealous of!

Taking on a theme is rather challenging because the couple has to pick something they love, but not make it cheesy!  These weddings get uber brownie points for creativity.  Taking a theme and making it chic and modern is such an incredible venture and when it is done right, it’s major wedding eye candy.

Scrabble is such a darling concept for a wedding.  Really anything can be done when you get to put together little wooden tiles and make them say anything you want.

People make the most fascinating and creative little additions such as those amazing scrabble pillows, which make doing a theme wedding that much more modern and creative.
