Apply for Vendor Love membership

The Knotty Bride began in October of 2009 as a place to gather and share wedding ideas and inspiration, and has quickly grown to become one of the most popular and widely read wedding blogs known to the industry, both nationally and internationally.  We continue to experience consistent and substantial growth with regard to key traffic figures, and we’re proud to share our metrics upon request.  Our audience consists mostly of women between the ages of 25 and 35 who are typically college graduates and have incomes that exceed $30,000.  Our readers love fashion, DIY, amazing photography, beautiful handcrafted details and everything else that will make their wedding experience equal parts chic and unique.  We adore and cherish our massive and dedicated following, and we revel in the praise we continue to receive from the most distinguished leaders in the wedding industry.

Having officially relaunched on November 22, 2010 with a fresh new look and brand new reader-requested features, we couldn’t be more excited about everything we’re bringing to our readers.  Amazing real weddings, fantastic big ticket giveaways, exclusive DIY wedding projects/ideas, reliably awesome fashion tips (and tip-offs!), fabulously chic freebies and, of course, gads and gads of wedding inspiration.

Our most exciting new reader-requested feature is Vendor Love, The Knotty Bride’s Preferred Vendor Guide.  This is a highly edited guide containing only the highest quality vendors – aka, vendors we love personally and know our beloved readers will, too.  Here, our readers can search for each and every resource they’ll need to plan their dream wedding from start to finish and beyond, and at the same time feel confident that the vendors they’ve chosen are among the very best in service and quality.

Vendor Love™ launched on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, and we’ve heard only amazing feedback from our Preferred Vendors since day one.  Like, this one came in literally on day one:

“Less than 24 hours since the vendor love guide from @theknottybride has gone live and I’ve already gotten several inquiries.  Thanks Alison!” – Matt, photographer, M David Media

Click here for a more recent review we found about ourselves.  Notice the bolding / e x t r e m e l e n g t h of the hyperlink; that’s because we would love you to read it.  While we’re pretty proud of everything to be found when you google our name (except for the sex tape WHO SAID THAT) this was definitely one of the cooler ones we’ve seen by one of our accepted vendors.  And lastly, as well as ironically, one of our first reviews ever.

For a better understanding of what membership means, please read through our answers to commonly asked questions.  (And please note that there is limited space available in each category.)

Q: What will my listing look like?  And will there be a direct link from your site to mine?

A: On the main page of your category there will be a clickable preview image of your work, along with your business name and your location.  This image will link to your personal vendor page – a full, ad-free page dedicated to your business, where potential clients will find:

  • your logo
  • your business name
  • a gallery of images of your work
  • a direct link to your site and/or blog
  • your email and phone number (optional)
  • your location/areas you serve/willingness to travel
  • an about section describing you and your business
  • any specials you may be offering

Q: Do you provide a ‘Preferred Vendor’ logo?

A: Yes, we will provide you with a preferred vendor logo that you may display on your site.

In creating a vendor guide, our intention is to provide an easy to use, high-quality resource for brides; one they can trust.  It is for this reason that we hand-pick our vendors, and keep each category limited to those in whom we believe.  In no way does the money generated have any impact on the decision to list a vendor.

To apply for membership in our guide: when you write to us at alison {@}, please let us know what you do and provide a link to your site/blog, if you have one.  Links to reviews of your work on legitimate sites are appreciated.  Upon review, if we feel you’re a good fit for our guide and our readers, we will contact you.
