Some of you might remember me tweeting about some special pictures I was going to acquire this weekend. Aka, go to CVS and purchase People Magazine and scan photos of Carrie Underwood’s wedding. Well, I did go to CVS, and I did LOOK at the photos from her very hyped up wedding. However, I stopped there. Because while I like featuring what’s hip, new and in the news, I don’t like compromising a certain quality – err, maybe I should say integrity – that I like to think I maintain here. And, if I’m completely honest, I was underwhelmed by what I found in that magazine. Maybe it was the low quality of the photos as displayed in the mag, maybe I was just having a bad day… wait, no, I was hopped up on a grande iced mocha from Starbucks. And caffeinated drinks make me feel like Mike Meyers’ character Phillip from SNL circa the 1990s. So I had all the happiness I needed going into that store, plus there was whipped cream on that drink… and I was still let down by what I saw.

Listen, don’t get me wrong, I adooooooooore Carrie Underwood. She’s a bit of a personal hero, given her rise to fame and her generally positive approach to life. She seems to have remained quite normal from what I can tell, and I admire that about her. Oh, and she’s gorgeous, too. She’s also the boy’s favorite star. But, unfortunately, when we opened up that magazine spread, we just weren’t fans of her wedding. And I think you know me well enough to know that I can’t fake enthusiasm. I’m incredibly happy for her, because I’m pretty sure she was over the moon about her big day, and it was very much in keeping with her style, I believe. So, for my final thoughts on the subject, I think it was a fabulous day for the two of them. Alright, enough about that. Nope, one more thing. Recently, I happened to feature just the type of “cake” Carrie decided to have for her big day. Yeah. Don’t call it a comeback.

Ok, on to a topic I can truthfully wrap my enthusiastic head around. Vivienne Westwood’s Lady Dragon Hearts!!!!! SOOO many of you are crushing on this hot little PVC pump that I had to share some of the standout shots I’ve accumulated over the last couple of months. I adore the way the following brides strutted their stuff for the camera in these numba one stunnas, and I think you might, too. And by the way, I checked out reviews of these babies, and the consensus seems to be that they’re hella comfortable. Shocking? Yes, for a plastic pump. Way awesome? Totes, because I can recommend them to you without guilt or fear of retribution.

The ivory and red ones are my fav, but they are impossible to find.

Most of the guests that have commented said the wedding was great, beautiful and very classy. I bet it was..too bad there weren't more pictures so we could honestly tell what it all looked like.

It wasn't really my taste and I really didn't like that arbor thing. Ah well, to each her own! Just wish they'd made my purchase of the mag worthwhile with more pictures.

These shoes are super cool, though I wonder if they make your feet sweat since they're basically plastic? I love how fun they are.

I dont' think they're gaudy at all. But I only say that since the bride is wearing them. Brides like to wear “statement” shoes to contrast the predictableness of the white dress. It's your wedding day ladies – be as bright colorful and creativity as you wanna be!!

I tend to agree with the post from A guy's opinion and wouldn't recommend them to close friends. Not to mention that they pointy and not comfortable at all. Cute in theory not sure cute in reality.
